I just bought brother multifunction printer but i confused how to load a paper from ADF tray for printing.
You take the paper with face to print Up and the top of the paper towards the interior of the ADF. You can also put a stack of papers. When you press the copy/scan command from the machine console or the computer, the automatic document feeder starts.
Testimonial: "Thanks.. I understand now.. Is not like canon. Canon could change the feeder from ADF or bottom."
The Automatic Document feeder (not Automatic Paper feeder) is not a tray where you put blank sheets of paper. You use it if you have a stack of sheets you need to copy, scan, or fax. You put the documents to be copied, scanned, or faxed as a stack so that you do not have to feed them manually, one at a time.

Important
The inner side of the Document Cover (white sheet) (C) is easily damaged, so wipe it gently.
If the glass of the ADF (A)
is stained with ink, correction fluid, or the like, black streaks may
appear on the printed paper when the document is loaded in the ADF. With
a clean, soft, lint-free cloth, wipe the glass of the ADF.
With a clean, soft, lint-free cloth, wipe the Platen Glass (D), the inner side of the Document Cover (white sheet) (C), the glass of the ADF (A), and the inner side of the ADF (white area) (B) gently. Make sure not to leave any residue, especially on the Platen Glass.
Cleaning the ADF

Be sure to turn off the power and disconnect the power cord before cleaning the machine.
1. Open the Document Tray.
2. Open the Feeder Cover.
3. With a soft, clean, lint-free and dry cloth, wipe off any paper dust from the inside of the Feeder Cover (A).
4. After wiping, close the Feeder Cover by pushing it until it clicks into place.
5. Close the Document Tray.
6. Reconnect the power cord then turn on the machine.
