SOURCE: How do I replace the ear cushions for a Plantronics DSP 400?

There are some small silver inserts on the side of each earpiece. You can pry them off (gently) starting under the cushion and working your way around.

You can then remove the old cushions and put in the replacements and snap these silver retainer inserts back on.

You can get replacement cushions online for about $16.

Hi, I have a Plantronics BackBeat 903+ and I have a big problem with it. It seems to have a bad contact some where in the left earpiece that every time I just touch it it turns off immediately. Can...

It sounds like there may be a short in the headset. If you are just touching the ear piece and then you hear nothing on that side. If that side has been damaged at all you might want to check for manufacture cracks or loose wiring. If your Plantronics Backbeat 903 is still under warranty you should be able to get another one.

How do I sync my replacement ear piece

When joining (or pairing) a Plantronics bluetooth headset to another device a lot depends on the other device. Assuming that you know the necessary steps of your phone, PC or other device for connecting a bluetooth device, all Plantronics headsets pretty much follow a set pairing procedure for connectivity. This one is for the Discovery 975:

1 Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your phone.
2 Turn the earpiece on. Press and hold the call control button until the indicator flashes red/white.
3 Use the commands on your other device to locate and select your earpiece. 9xx Plantronics.
4 If prompted for the PIN code or Passkey, enter 0000.

Pairing is successful when the indicator on your earpiece flashes white.

Note If your phone supports Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you will not need to enter a PIN code or Passkey.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Ear piece does not work. Station top light does not come on

The 500A base station is definitely compatible with the 510 earpiece. If the earpiece is turned off or unpaired the base station's red power light will be flashing. If the earpiece is already off, try turning it on by holding down the little black button on top. The base station will automatically try to find the earpiece and the blue light on top of the base will come on. If the earpiece is already on (slow flashing blue light on the mic boom) turn it off and back on again and wait for the base to find it.
