My Creative Zen isn't being recognized by Vista. It charges, but the it keeps telling me the driver installation fails, then when I go into the drive manager it says the device can not connect (code 10). This is not happening on my laptop which still has XP. I've tried everything, and google isn't helping.
Go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them
Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix

my sleek is doing the same . Creative suggest it is because of windows player 11 being used and gives a solution in its help section www.creative.com
My Zen Micro Photo suffers the same problem. It keeps trying to connect but comes up with a code 10. Trouble is I'm using XP! It never did this before.
