The heater starts and runs for a short period of time, 15 -20 seconds but never gets hot. It then shuts down.
Take the top off of the heater and and clean the nozzel orifice, while you have it apart wipe off the photo cell and clean and regap spark plug. The nozzel unscews and you can clean it with a bread tie.
After this clean or change the fuel filter in the tank, and finally check the pump pressure and make sure it is inline with the owner manual. This is assuming that it is firing to begin with
Our dyna glo pro kerosene heater 2 year old heater still works, but not near as hot as it should be and has some fumes like it is not burning the kerosene efficiiently. We tried calling the manufactor from the users manual, but we hear they have gone out of bussiness. How can we get parts? We think it is the fuel pressure regulator. CFM is the manufactor.
Remove the 8 screws, take the cover off check all the rubber hoses for cracks. take the hoses off,1 at a time and look at the entire hose for cracks. replace any cracked hoses or hoses that are loose on the nipple. i have this problem almost every year, every time it is a cracked hose.
You might have dust in the pilot orfice . If you do the pilot flame curves up and dosen't touch the thermo coupling enough .

When turn on, the heater start to initiate for several seconds and stops. The message that come up is E1. I put new fuel in.
I have this same problem. Where is the pilot orifice?
There is no pilot.. It has an electric start. There is a fuel filter that goes into the tank which may have dirt in it. I just replaced mine, about $12. Also clean the electric start mechanism. You have to take off the handle and both sides (there is one screw towards the back) then you can see the screws which holds the top shrouds on. from there it's easy to see how it works.
where is the photo cell location to wipe it off
