I would suggest that the temp regulator is faulty, and needs to be replaced, there is little else it could be.
Hope this helps.

My oven temp is not keeping correct temps set at 350 and acutual temp cooks at 325?? problem correction?

Hey friend, I appreciate your post!

It sounds like your Frigidaire oven could need to be calibrated. If could also be an issue with you thermostat or control panel. In order to properly calibrate your oven you would need to seek assistance from a professional. I would also recommend seeking assistance from a professional for proper diagnosis to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

When I light my oven, it stays on full all the time. Is it the thermostate

I'd recommend buying an oven temp dial to stick in your oven to verify the actual temp. Then you can turn on the oven using a lower setting and write down the temp for the setting. Then as you slowly adjust the setting higher and higher, note each temp. If it doesn't show a consistent increase of temp for each setting, you may need it calibrated or replaced. Good luck!

I have an XL44 GE Spectra Oven/range. The cleaning feature no longer works and recently we have experienced the oven not getting to the desired temp for both Bake and Convection Bake. We set it to 350 and...

Page 22
Of the service manual shows your diagram. The oven sensor should read 1100 ohms @room temp (75f) All these new fangled electronically controlled ovens use a sensor. The negative temp coefficient sensor relays back changes in resistance whenever the temp changes inside the oven. If that sensor is not correct, open, or shorted to frame then the control will not function properly.

GE Oven is not heating to full temperature.. Also heating up real slow

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com.

First you need to check whether you are getting full 220 volts + to the oven. Some oven controls have adjustable knobs where can be fine tuned. The temperature can be calibrated by 25 degrees but not any 200 degrees. I think these can get you may be up to 75 degrees max. It seems like your sensing bulb is mounted right your oven control which has the sensing bulb attached could very well be shot. Also check if the elements work? Does the broil get red when set on broil; does the bake get red when set on bake? If yes the wiring should be ok and possibly/probably is a bad oven temp control. If the elements do not get red, that would have to be investigated (burnt wire, bad selector switch, bad oven control, burnt wire. Turn on the oven with the meter connected. It should show full voltage when you first turn it on and the thermostat will turn it on and off.

If the sensor inside the ovens baking compartment is not damaged, touching any metal part, bent, pitted, no foil is used on the racks or lower plate, in an attempt to keep ovens internal clean, etc, then temp sensor is likely defective. Which means the ECR (control unit) will need to be replaced.

Please get back to us if you have any further query.

Have a nice day.

Bosh double oven. Temp is 100 degrees cooler on top oven, any ideas? both on bake mode

The fact that top oven is 100degrees less than bottom is no relation between the two; they are controlled by independent stat controls and if the only way you know if the temp is correct, is to set a temp (such as 350 degrees) and put a thermometer in that oven to see if the thermometer is with in 25degrees of the control settting. You need to do this for the bottom oven as well to see if it is aslo within 25degrees of the setting. then you make adjustments for each unit independently. If the controls are mechanical (knob), then the adjustment is within the control (usually by removing knob and serching for a small screw). If the controls are electroonic, then you need to search the circuit board to see if there is adjstments mounted on the board. Goodluck,Macgivor

No temperature control in Oven, even with a new thermostat

If you are certain that is wired correctly, and is the same as the old one, having made sure you have got the sensor located correctly, then it should click off the element at the set temp.

If it does not, then that leads me to suspect that the new stat is either faulty, or the wiring is not as it should be,I do not forsee any other reason for it not to cut out.

Ge oven temp not correct after clean cycle

What are you cooking pizza. When you get at the high extreme most oven controls are not as accurate and have a wider differential. I assume the measurements are taken without opening the oven.

Doesn't get as hot as it should

the range has two thermostats one for each oven located under the oven knobs. put a meat thermometer in the oven and adjust the thermostat screw with a small flat screwdriver untill the oven turns off at the correct knob temp.
registered on the thermometer.
then adjust the knob screw on the back of the knob to match that temp setting.
clockwise is hotter counterclockwise is cooler
