you can contact your service provider or the company the cell is locked 2. request a code. They will ask you several questions to insure the phone is yours. They then will walk you though the steps and give you the code. Some companies have special rules about how long the phone has to be inactive ect. you wont know tell you call. do so from an other phone though,

Sound as though maybe you're trying to use a "boost" sim card on a Nextel phone. The phone has to be unlocked in order for that to work.
