I¨ve spent a lot of money buying blank CD´s to burn on them my pc information.... and it´s only few unknown CD´s brands which the burner from LG reads. But if I buy Sony, HP and so on, it just doesn´t read them. It says: "Pls insert blank CD on the Drive" emm.. hello, new, blank... so what´s with it? Do I have to buy cheap bad CD´s so it can read it? And whta the heck do I do with the ones I´ve bought already...weird picky driver!I¨ve spent a lot of money buying blank CD´s to burn on them my pc information.... and it´s only few unknown CD´s brands which the burner from LG reads. What does the lower surface look like? Does it have a lot of scratches or is it perfect? Many times the condition of the optical surface of the disc can affect the results you have. The disc is scratched can be polished. Burned disc only have about 70% of the output that a pressed disc has so sometimes you need to burn a new one.
Have you tried other discs, or just that one? It might be that the disc you've inserted already has something written on it, and you can't burn a DVD-R twice. From the error message you're getting, that would be my guess.
i would say for some reason your dvd player is not compatible from now on with that brand of blank dvd!
get the firmware update from the brand website all you do is download the file burnit on a cd and put it in the dvd player should fix most and eventual problems
You should use consumer cd's that are rather expensive. You probably tried to record a recordable cd-rom (a cheap computer disc). It's not possible to burn a pro-disc (computer disc) by using your Pioneer, and that's why you got that message on the screen. Refer to the user manual of your cd recorder and learn what sort of blank cd you should use.
