When I boot up my laptop, the screen is blank, but I can hear Windows loading. I can even tell when it's at the login screen, so I scan my finger & Windows boots up but still a blank screen. I held the FN key down & hit the up arrow, but still a blank screen. Could there be a loose connection or did my video card go up?

The laptop is only 1-1.5 years old so it's just out out warranty. Once in a while I'll see a quick flash of light, but other than that, I don't see anything, no post screen, no windows, etc. I do hear the regular audio that indicates windows is loading properly but sometimes it doesn't load and just shuts itself off even if I have the AC plug in. Do you see anything during the startup process? For instance, the POST screen, Windows loading screen, etc...? Also, have you attempted to boot into safe mode (continually press F8 during startup, select Safe Mode, press Enter)? Do you see anything during the startup process?
