You will also need to connect audio from the audio output on your computer to the TV. I would recommend consulting the owner's manual for your TV as is should include detailed instructions for connecting your computer. Search for your TV model number at InsigniaProducts.com.

I have a Insignia Plasma tv model NS-42P650A11 it is not getting any channels now. Worked then the other day it stopped having any channels, I've unhooked everything for awhile then rehooked everything...

First, I'm not a Insignia representative.
* Check your warranty. call for support.

*** Following for information only.***
* No signal means no usable signal for a specific input on the TV or monitor. Check your cable box. Contact your cable service provider.
* If it's just a monitor and not a multi-function TV that also has a Computer to video input then you need to check the device that's hooked up to the monitor as single function monitor's usually only have one input.
* If this is a TV then you need to go to the TV menu and check the "Input Source" to make sure it's on the input plug your using. (I'm using HDMi-2 on my laptop to TV)
* If it's not on the correct input then there will be a different signal (DVD, VCR, etc.) or none at all (No Signal) if those units are turned off.
* Unplug all devices (to reset) and count to 10. Power up and perform set up to your existing configuration.
* Note; as of Jan 2018 most cable TV are not broadcasting in analog (chan 3) and must use a digital tuner to get signal. Some cable Co. provide converters (for a fee?)
* Check with your service provider for more information.
Aloha, ukeboy57

PS, If you do have a damaged input (or feed) then check your video device for alternative outputs; IE: RCA Vid-Right-Left audio, HDMI, Split video (Y-G-B), VGA, S-plug, etc.

* This your model?; https://www.cnet.com/products/insignia-ns-42p650a11/specs/
* I notice there is no cable input. Try switching to another of inputs;
2 x HDMI input - rear
Composite video input - rear
S-Video input - rear
2 x component video input - rear
Audio line-out
VGA input - rear
2 x audio line-in - rear
Digital audio output (optical)

Ghostly green color from tv

This is a probable sign the TV or monitor is dying, though in some cases it can be a bad cable, or bad video card (if this is a PC monitor).

Most new can now a days. In any case, took a quick look at your specs and simply connect to PC. Then choose input from TV. Like VGA, HDMI, depending on cable paring you choose for your PC video card. VGA is usually the easiest.

I own an insignia 42"

The TV resolution is set by the video sources, not at the TV, in this case, your Dish network box is the one that is sending out 480p so the TV will display what it is being fed with.
What does Dish TV say aboyt this problem? How about the setup menu on the Dish network box?
Your TV works the same as your PC monitor, except that your monitor does not have a tuner, you adjust the resolution at the PC not at the monitor. 480p in = 480p display.

Please leave rating if it helps.

Toshiba 32AV500U HDMI issues

The Toshiba 32AV500U cannot display 1080p. Hook up your PS3 to your computer monitor, provided that it can display 1080p, or some other TV that can, then change your Video Output settings under Settings> Display Settings and uncheck 1080p, which will allow the PS3 to display in 1080i. Once you do that, then hook up the Toshiba via HDMI and it will work with no problem.

Insignia LCD TV won't recognize computer input...

Heres the dealyo.
Click start button
Click control panel
Click display
Click settings
adjust screen resolution (probably have to go down) until the tv displays your computer
if this did not work, you will have to adjust bit rate from 32 to 16. Fiddle with the settings until the magic happens.
You will not get any sound unless you use an audio jack plugged into t.v.

Im here all week

Stand Alone VCRs do not play pictures on my Insignia 24" TV

Did you try using teh SV cables supplied or the RF cable?
Easier to use the AV Cables. 100% should work. Connect Video OUT of VCR ro VIDEO IN of TV and AUDIO OUT (L) and (R) of VCR to AUDIO IN (L) & (R) of TV. Select AV or VIDEO on TV using TVs remote. Play a Cassette. should work!!
