Software application for my Kodak C743 has Parsing Error

When an Error says Application Error two things may cause that and it can be a possible problem with the installation itself or possible that you may need to see if the program runs on the specific windows that you have.

If you have windows 7 you may try to Run the program as an Administrator and see if it will install properly without any error, if still the issue form the disc occurs try downloading from the website Download there are several application for your Kodak Web cam on the link I gave the Kodak Easy share is the most commonly used for web cameras and digital cameras you might wanna try that first.

perhaps the download cable is bad or the plug is dirty and just not making contact. try cleaning the metal contacts on camera and cable somehow small flat toothpicks and a little rubbing alcohol

Connect the camera with the computer.
Turn the camera on.
Click onto the link and follow the instructions.

To transfer pics to your computer you will need to install the Kodak EasyShare software (you can download it at www.Kodak.com) and connect the camera to the computer via USB cable or a camera dock. To delete the photos press the Review button and then the Delete button. The camera will give you the option of deleting everything or a single pic.

Have you tried using an external card reader?

I own a mac and always use an external usb card reader to download my pics and it works great. Also, I know that you need to get your pics off first, but you may need to reformat you card at some point so that it will read faster and work quicker in your camera.

For your software issue, have you tried download the software from kodak's website? The program shouldn't cause your apple to crash. I would try re-installing it from there website.

Can't you use a card reader to transfer the pictures from the camera to the PC?

Its an XML parsing error :
1) shutdown easyshare software from the system tray

2) search for vistaedit.esx on the search box

3) rename it to vistaedit.old

4) open the Kodak Easyshare software again

Kodak said, this error may be caused by your batteries as they may be dying or simply underpowered. High Powered NiMh are recommended by Kodak. You might want to check the link and think about it.

Kodak has been making a lot of changes to that program, due to problems. If you loaded the software that came with the camera, it is very likely out of date. You need to visit the Kodak website and download the latest version of the software.
