My HP officeJet 6240 Series is currrently offline how do I get it

my printer keeps saying its offline and will not print i did what it said and now it says its online again but still wont print .....anyway to solv this ....thanks.....i have a hp officejet 4315v all in one nel pls help

If you have Windows operating system

Windows XP
Click on

Start >> Control panel >> Printers and faxes

Under Printers and faxes you will find an icon of your printer Officejet 6200 series

Highlight it - Right Click and you will get an option which says- Set printer online

If windows 7

You need to go to printers and other hardware and then printers and then the process is same

Please follow below steps to make the printer Online

1. Click Start ->Control Panel ->Printer and Faxes
2. Right Click on the printer.
3. Select "Use printer Online"
4. Now your printer will be online for printing.

Follow these steps:

Open the Start menu and click on the "Printers and Faxes" icon. This will open a window with a list of the printers currently set up on your computer.

Double-click on the icon of the printer you want to change to online. A pop-up window detailing all current print jobs will open.

Go to Printer in the menu bar of the pop-up window and uncheck "Use Printer Offline." This action will change the printer from offline to online

Click on start go to control panel. Click printer and faxes. Then right click the printer icon and select use printer online.

Open "Control Panel".
Open "Printers".
Click to select the printer.
Click the "offline/online" button, to mark it as "online".
Print.

Press the ONLINE/OFFLINE button on the printer.

In Microsoft Windows, click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Printers
Right-mouse click on the HP printer, and click to go "online".

To get back online of your printer, go to Control Panel and Select Printer & Faxes then OPEN.
A list of Printer is on the browser, point the printer with your mouse then right click on your Printer HP OfficeJet to select Printer Offline and click it to go back Printer Online. Good luck!
