Whirlpool Ultima Wash II Intermittent Rinse/Spin

Hi...
My washer, (Just two months after the extended warranty ran out), will intermittently NOT Drain the Water or Spin. If I lean the machine back and drop it, it will usually continue to cycle to end; but not always. It only handles Small Loads now; but sometimes not even a small one. I often have to drain the water from the machine before it will again empty the water and finish a Rinse/Spin Step.
I don't think this is a mechanical problem; but maybe a relay somewhere. Can anyone tell me where and how to look ? Does anyone know if it's a relay that kicks-in the Rinse/Spin Cycles ? Can anyone provide me with a Logic Diagram for this machine; and maybe even a schematic ?
Thank You !

since it is only a few months old, it must be under warranty. So try that first before touching any repair job lest you void the warranty.

Not pumping water out

Hi just read your post. Now is the machine full of water? If it is, drain most of the water by hand with a small pot or bowl. When you have removed most of the water pull the machine away from the back wall and lean it back so you can look under neath the machine. To the right of the machine you will see a little black fan, this is the pump.Make sure the power is off at the wall ,now turn the fan clockwise and anticlockwise. The fan should spin freely. If it does put the machine back on the ground and turn the machine on and select a spin cycle and it should start to drain. If it does not drain or the fan is hard to turn please reply and I can help you further.Regards LU.

Water would not drain and was slow to spin

Hi Rick. Now on the [email protected] machines they will not spin properly unless all the water is out of your machine. Please look underneath the machine for me and you should see the pump which has a fan attached to it .It is located to the front right. Now turn the fan clockwise and anticlockwise a few times to loosen the pump as it may be jammed. The fan should freely. To look under the machine 1st you must bail some of the water out by hand with a small bucket or pot, enough to lean the machine back so you can look under the machine without it leaking everywhere. Now once the fan turns freely put it back on its feet and select a spin cycle and push the start button.Hopefully the machine will start to drain and spin. Please reply back on how you got on or if the machine still does not drain.

just add another drain and spin cycle and start it up again with the completion of the first cycle. Washing some items like sleeping bags takes forever because they are so darned absorbent and hold more water than a tiger's sieve of a bladder. Another drain and spin cycle should solve the problem.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SW1: Won't drain

The washer drew half a tub of water on the "Bulky items" cycle, and stopped. All the lights on the cycle dial light up and flash, the machine beeps and the me error message in the "estimated time remaining" field is "Ld". I've tried to shut the machine down and change the cycle to "drain and spin" but it will not agitate, won't drain or spin.

Washing machine has intermittent drain issues with F02 code

When the three screws are out of the bottom, you should be able to pull the front panel down (towards the floor) and then out from the bottom. Unscrew the big white cap on the drain housing. Be prepped for the water. Most of the time the problem is due to **** in there.

Boyz, your machine is draining too slowly. When it initiates a drain cycle, the water level switch is sensing the water level is still too high after 60 seconds so the computer stops and generates this fault code. Here are the things to check; * Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or inked. * Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU) * Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects * Check for Drain Pump Failure * Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off * Check the Pressure switch for proper operation
