My kenmore built in dishwasher is leaking out the front

I have a kenmore diswasher, about 7 years old. Build in, electronic controls, has model 665158 12992 stamped on the inside door. It is leaking out the front between the door and the access panel, on the right hand side. It does it with plain water and soapy water.

Change the door gasket. also check to see if the wall hasn't "sprung out" of position this will always cause leaks if the side walls aren't supported.

Dishwasher is leaking

Gasket probably became dislodged, replace door gaskets, at 4 years old I would replace the gaskets, they are not expensive.

Leaking from the front ?

Hello Kathy J...

It sounds as if you want reassurance that you should replace your dishwasher.. The costs associated with replacing the racks themselves and the gasket on the door ( depending on who does it) might justify the purchase of a replacement model.. Plus newer models are more energy efficient that the older ones.. 7 years of use is a fairly long time so you've gotten your money out of it... I always use this litmus test to validate the purchase.. if the cost to repair is close to or exceeds the cost to replace, then replacement makes sense.. Very subjective indeed.. hope you make the right choice.. :-)

Water leak

Mine also started leaking. Element also too hot. Mine has a 20 year warrenty on the tub (which I was NOT aware of) Repairman came today and the whole tub unit and element will be fixed for free! Look in your whirlpool instruction book to see if yours is warrentied. BTW, my dishwasher is only three years old.

My Kenmore diswasher gets stuck between the quick rinse and drying cycle

I am having the same issue as described above. I think it is either the timer, thermostat (temp assure), or thermostat (temp boost) that needs replacing. The dial gets stucks in both the wash temp boost cycle and rinse temp boost cycle. However, I don't have a picture of the temp assure or boost part. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. -Bill
