Try locating your memory sticks under unit, try taking them out and resitting them, try also resitting your hard drive.

Will a hp compaq 6735s support spore?

This is something simple you can do yourself. In the future, look up your model laptop then the specs on game, use google.

"HP Compaq 6735s spec"
http://www.cdfreaks.com/hardware/product/86792-HP-Compaq-6735s-Notebook-PC.html

Processor Processor family AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor RM-70 Processor clock speed 2000 MHz

Memory Memory upgrade <8192 MB GB Internal memory 2048 MB

Video Video card features ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 Video modes resolution 1280 x 800 WXGA Disk drive Total storage capacity 160 GB

"Spore spec"
http://www.spore.com/what/specs_spore

  • FOR WINDOWS VISTA
  • * 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
  • * 768 MB RAM
  • * A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
  • * At least 4 GB of hard drive space, with at least 1 GB additional space for creations.
Everything seems good, the only thing is how much HD space you have.
My computer>Roll over your mouse above the C drive and you will see how much is free out of your 160gb space.

Amd turion serial ata drivers

Go here:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-41728-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3263216&os=228&lang=en

Download and run the file and it will extract the contents into C:\swsetup\SP33031. Inside there will be an IDE\WinXP folder. Those would be the drivers you'd want to slip into your new disk.

Runs very slow, can memory be added?

More memory can always help. How much Ram is installed currently?
Also, do you run any anti virus or anti spyware programs? Malware has been known for making machines crawl.
Ram on that laptop can be upgraded.
