Will not play a Blu-Ray Disc Terminator Salvation

DVD players cannot play Blu-Ray discs. Most Blu-Ray players have DVD support, which means they can play DVDs as well as Blu-Ray. Unfortunately, the DVP3982 is not a DVD player, not a Blu-ray player, therefore it cannot support this format.

DVD players can't play Blu-Ray . You need a Blu-Ray player for that .

Most likely you need to 'flash' (update) your BDP-S300's firmware. I had the same issue while trying to play AVTR in my BDP-S300. I downloaded Sony's latest firmware update, burned it to disc and popped the disc into the player... It takes 5-10 minutes for the 'flashing' to take place. AVTR now works in my player... Had to do this with one other Blu-ray movie about 18 months ago also.

I had a similar problem and my fix was:
1. google search the make/model of my blu ray player with the terms, "firmware update" 2. Download the latest firmware update 3. burn the .iso file to a blank dvd disc. 4. insert into your Blu-Ray player and it will automatically update itself.
I know it seems like a tedious process but it did work for me.

All disc players have a thing called stacked tolerance. What it boils down to is some transports in players will not play certain discs; plain and simple.

All you can do it test it out on another BD player to make sure the disc is fine and test another disc in your BD player and make sure it hasn't gone defective.

Sorry I don't have an easy fix, this is not an uncommon problem.

I have the same problem with the same movie you need to connect the bluray player to your modem and update the bluray to be able to watch newer blurays

Same thing happened to me today,you have to update the firmware at the philips website,click on software and drivers when you get there,installation instructions are there aswell.

i had the same trouble with my LG blu ray . you need to upgrade your software on your blu ray. if u email Phillips customer service and ask for the link to upgrade ( which is called firmware ) the u can download it and put it on a disc . once you put the disc in the player it will update for you, see how u go
