Question about Belkin Wireless Pre-N (F5D8230-4) Router (F5D82304)
I have a dial up internet connection[reside in Africa. he he he he].I bought the Belkin router N1 so as to be able to use the internet with the computer upstairs.
My dial up is connected to through a laptop with the modem residing on this laptop[Its not an external modem].
Will I be able to connect this wireless router.I have tried without success.
Depending on the operating system that you are running, and if you have the appropriate wireless cards, you should be able to do this either with or without the modem. If you have the modem connected to one computer, and wireless cards on both computers, then your best option would be to just connect directly from one computer to the next. If you can tell me the answers to these few questions, I can help you get on the right path.
What operating system are you running? Windows XP? Vista? Macintosh?
Do both of your computers have wireless network cards? If not, then which computers have the wireless network, and which computer has the modem?
