some acer travel mates dont have a wireless card, open it up at the bottom (youll see 2 pannels one is the memory the other the wireless card) if you have a card in both slots you have wireless already, and just activate it vie the control panel

Follow that thread and check that you have installed the module in the correct location as described in a couple of the messages in the thread.
hey there is a external linksys wireless network adapter that works well it plugs in your usb slot they are by linksys.
Linksys Range Plus Wireless USB Compact Adapter should get you the correct range for around home and outside in your yard. check ebay for this solution its much cheaper here. thanks Kawuna
