Is there a "Pilot" marking on the knob? Try moving the knob 1/2 way between on and off and depress the knob. If you are in the correct location, the knob should depress in about 3/8 of an inch. Once you find the location where you can depress the knob, there should be a red sparker button that you can snap to light the pilot. Depress the pilot knob and snap the button a few times. There may be a small viewing port at the pilot. It may be covered by a small metal shield held on by a thumb screw. You can remove the shield to view the flame. OK so now you can depress the pilot knob, snap the sparker, look for the flame while still holding down the pilot knob and count to 30. Slowly release the pilot knob and check to see if the pilot is still on. Once it stays lit, rotate the knob to the "ON" position.

Help! I have a cozy wall heater model W355F-D. I have never ever lit a pilot light in my life and honestly, Im a little nervous. Can you maybe help me and walk me through it?

You should have control knob on the gas valve that has off, pilot and on , turn knob to pilot and hold in you should have igniter button press this in and it will spark at the pilot you may have to press this a few time to get pilot to light . when pilot is alight still hold knob in for 30 seconds then turn to the on position .

Cozy gas wall heater won't ignite, pilot light is on

There are two types of igniters, spark-type or glow heater. The glow heaters wear out and crack or break and the spark-type spark gap gets fouled or dirty. Both could have electronics problems that drive the glow heater or spark systems. The Filtrete thermostat is not the issue. While rapping the unit makes the glow igniter come back together to glow again.

Have Cozy heater model# CDV251A .Have spark , gas/but it will not light?

Be sure the control knob is set directly on the Pilot position. When you depress the knob, if it doesn't go all the way in (Bottoms out), release the knob and turn it a hair one way or the other, until you reach the point that it will bottom out when you push it in. If that doesn't solve the problem remove the front cover to expose the pilot assembly and blow out the pilot with compressed canned air (like you clean a computer with) and blow out the pilot tip. Any other dust or lint you see, clean that out too. Reassemble the cover and try lighting the pilot again.

Where I do I light the pilot light on my Cozy Wall Heater? I know it needs to be lit somewhere on the bottom of the unit but I cannot find the spot and my heater will not turn on. I am a senior and not...

in front of the burner it is next to a copper tube(black if it has been burned)! it angles a little towards the copper tube! u turn the knob on gas valve to pilot then hold down and light hold for one minute then turn it to the on position (u might have to push down slightly as u turn the knob) make sure u have thermostat to the lowest setting before u light the pilot so it won't turn on while u have your face too close to the heater then turn your thermostat up to desired temperature when it is on the the on position! Good Luck!!

I have just moved into an apartment with a wall mounted cozy heater. I can get the pilot lite to come on but can't seem to keep it on, the instructions are long gone for the heater and i was wondering if...

you should keep it in pilot light mode for about 5 minutes until it warms up, then switch it over. Your gas provider generally has a free service whereby they send out a technician to light the heater and make sure it is operating safely. Give them a call.

Cozy heater 35000 btu pilot light goes out every 4 days

The thermocouple needs to get red hot. If the pilot flame is too low or too high or if it is not pointed on the thermocouple well, it won't stay hot enough. If the pilot flame is too low, a draft caused by opening a door could blow it out. If correcting this doesn't fix it, it could be a bad thermocouple or control. The factory assembly on these heaters is not the best.

Cozy Wall Heaters

On the gas valve, look for a marking that indicates "Pilot". If there is no such marking, you do not have a pilot and the system is electronic ignition. Ok so if you find the pilot position, you will be able to turn a know to that position and depress the knob into the gas valve. At the same time you are depressing the knob, look for a red button that snaps when you depress it. This is a Pizo starter. If you do not have this button, look for a viewing port where you can insert a long match. Once you have the knob depressed and the viewing port open if needed) you should be able to light the pilot with the snapper or match. Before you release the knob on the gas valve, sing "Yankee Doodle". This will give the flame enough time to heat up a probe to the proper temperature and the flame should stay on. Button up any port you opened and then turn the gas valve knob to the "On" position.

Cozy wall heater

On top of the gas valve you will see a knob. Turn the knob to the position that says pilot. It's on the side of valve. Press the knob down with one hand and take your long lighter stick it by the pilot tube looks like a small aluminum tube should light pretty quickly hold for 30 seconds release the button you have been holding down. Now turn the knob to the on position. Make sure the thermostat is turned off so the flame don't fire up as soon as you turn knob. If you are uncomfortable gas your gas company and they should come out for free.

Cozy one sided wall furnace (no blower motor)

This is a weird one, but make sure all the wire connections are in the correct place. I accidentally miss wired a heater like this and it did the same thing.
