Question about Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000E Front Load Washer
I have had this machine about a year, the machine stopped while on a cycle and flashes pause and err, I have tried to hit the start / cancel buttons simultaneously and I receive 3 beeps, otherwise the machine is unresponsive. Is this a control board issue? Please Help!
I had the issue with my Affinity ATF7000 washer displaying err pause err pause .... clicking any button would give me 3 beeps and lights would flash but would get no real error message. Repair man wanted to replace entire computer for $250 plus service call rate. So by dumb luck I did this and got it working. 1. Unplug washer 2. Take off top (screws on back) 3. Unplug connector to the pressure sensor (carefully). Looking at the washer it is mounted to the right side near the front and looks round when looking at it from the top. 4. Plug in the washer and it should display E31. E31 is just saying it cannot communicate with the pressure sensor (which makes sense because you unplugged it). 5. Unplug washer and reconnect pressure sensor. 6. Put top back on and plug in washer. 7. Washer should work but E31 error will remain in memory so if you do call a repair man he may think the pressure sensor needs to be replaced. There is a way to clear error codes but I could not get it to work. This is my theory on why it worked. The computer program on the washer is stuck in a loop that will not allow the washer to function. When we unplug the pressure sensor we give it a real error and it exits the loop it is stuck in. I am a programmer by day so this may not make sense to some.

Frigidare affinity washing machine, piece of crappola...
anyway, tried this fix with the unit unplugged, didn't work, tried it again with the power on (be carefull, it looks like there is a 110 volt relay in the latch unit), it worked (didn't wait six minutes, worked anyway).
To take the door seal off, on the outter edge (towards you when you are looking inside wondering if you should really do this) there is a small metal ring that goes all the way around. On the bottom of this ring there is a spring, take a small flat head screw driver and work it under the ring, lift it over the edge and the door seal will come off. (wifey figured this one out)

Hello Mary Fortner - It means that the washer has been paused; the cycle has been interrupted. Either the "Pause/Cancel" button or "Start/Pause" button has been pressed. To resume wash - press "Pause/Cancel" or "Start/Pause" once. If this does not prove to be successful please turn the breaker to the unit off for 5 minutes. Then turn the breaker back on to the unit, and retry the cycle setting again.
