Type in address took me 4 house away from address type in home address said house was left and the house is on the right

To find the mac address on your computer follow the steps below.
Option 1
1) Click the Start Orb at the bottom left of your screen.
2) Type ncpa.cpl into the search box and press ENTER.
3) Right-click your Local Area Connection and select Status.
4) Click Details and the Physical Address is your MAC Address.
Option 2:
1. Click on the Windows Logo in the bottom left corner.
2. In the search box, type in cmd and press enter.
3. In the command prompt, type in getmac (with no spaces) and push enter.
4. The MAC address is labeled Physical Address

If you are using Internet Explorer:
1. Click Tools, Internet options. Windows Vista/7 users may need to press the Alt key for the menu to appear.
2.The Internet Options window will open. Click the General tab, and type in the address of the website you want as your start page under the 'Home page' heading.
Type in www.google.com there
3. Click on Apply and Close window.


If you are using Google Chrome:
1. Click the wrench icon in the top-right corner of the browser.
2. Select Options.
3. In the 'On startup' section, select Open the home page.
4. In the 'Home page' section, choose Open this page and type in the address of the website you would like as your start page.
5. The settings apply immediately. You may close the settings tab now.


And If you are using Mozilla Firefox:
1. Click the Firefox menu at the top-left portion of the browser.
2. Click the Options menu, and then Options.
3. The Options window will open. Go to the Startup section and select When Firefox starts: Show my home page.
4. In the Home Page field, type in the website address you want to use as your home page.
5. Click OK.

Hope this will help you to change the home page.

Try to find your own home address (which you'll want to label as "Home").

From the main screen, select Where to>Address.
Change the State, if necessary. This will make your state the default for future searches.
Touch "Spell City" and enter your city name or zip code.
Enter your house number, and touch Done.
Enter the street name, and touch Done.
Select the correct street on the list, if necessary.
Select it. You'll have the opportunity to Save your address as "Home".

Before you do the steps below make sure your Networking Interface Card (NIC) is working. You can find out this by typing 127.0.0.1 in command prompt (to bring command prompt type cmd in the RUN command)

Step 01: type ncpa.cpl on the Run command
Step 02: Right click the network connection and navigate to the properties.
Step 03: Under Networking Tab select the Internet Protocol IP v 4 click property button right underneath it.
Step 04: Under General make sure to click the Obtain IP automatically and Obtain DNS automatically. This allows your belkin wireless router to assign IP address dynamically.
Step 05: Open your web browser and type 192.168.1.1 (usually this address is your default gateway if not 0.1 or 2.1 on the address) and access the belkin router.
LAN settings: IP address should be your default gateway address and subnet mask will assign automatically if not type 255.255.255.0 on the subnet mask section.
Make sure DHCP (Dynamic Host Config Protocol) is on and assign IP pool from next address to starting address and ending usually 254 or 100)
Start 192.168.2.2 End 192.168.2.100

Lease Make sure DNS are assign automatically.
ignore above steps if they are already assigned.
once you finished reboot your computer (you dont have to do this)
Now open browser enjoy.
If you still dont get internet you must check your cabling with ur router to pc. or different port

If it is a belkin router then :

Step 1 : Connect Router - Computer ( Wired )

Step 2 : Open RSP By typing 192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 3 : On the left hand side click Security

Step 4 : Leave the password blank and click submit

Step 5 : You can find your password here

I'm assuming you mean to say that you are wanting your browser's default page (the page it opens to) to be set to www.optonline.net

Using IE:
Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General , there in the box available for home page type in the address of the website you want as your home page.

Using Mozilla (Firefox):
Go to Tools -> Options ->Main , there in the box type in the address of your favorite web site.

First make sure that you have a valid connection to the router and that you have a valid IP address.

(note: for a wired connection you should have a link light on the numbered port of the router to which your computer is connected. You should have an IP address in the range 192.168.2.x. To check your IP address, click on Start, Run and type in command. Click OK. Now type in ipconfig and hit enter. Your IP address will be listed.)

1. In the address bar type http://192.168.2.1
2. Click on Intial Setup
3. Select PPPOE and click Select
4. Type in your username that was assigned to you by your ISP *
5. Type in your password that was assigned to you by your ISP twice
6. Leave Service Name blank
7. Click on Enter
8. Click on Status in the left hand column
9. It should now show Cable / DSL Connected under the Internet column

For the F5D5231-4, F5D6231-4, F5D7230-4, F5D7231-4, F5D7231-4P, F5D8230-4, F6D3230-4

Open a Web Browser

1. In the address bar type http://192.168.2.1
2. Click on Connection Type in the left hand column under Internet WAN heading
3. Enter your password if any and click Submit
4. Click on PPPOE and then click on Next
5. Type in your username that was assigned to you by your ISP *
6. Type in your password that was assigned to you by your ISP twice
7. Leave Service Name blank
8. Click on Apply Changes
9. Click on the Home link at the top of the screen
10. It should now show Connected as the Internet Status at the top right hand corner of the web page

I believe the problem is the street address. If your address is an even number, the the unit believes the house is on the right in most instances.
