How do I program the VG4270 remote's TV button?

Note: most remotes allow you to find the code by manually turning the TV (or other device) on first, then press the appropriate button (cable, DVD, surround, etc) then setting the the remote in the "program" mode, then keep pushing the "off/power" button until the TV (or other device) turns off, at that point the code is set.

Pioneer plasma elite pro-504pu how do reset to factory mode on standby mode >??

hi,
u cam reset ur only by the following way.

p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }

In order to enter Service Mode, TV guide must be turned off

In order to do this procedure you must have and use the correct remote. The full function remote that

came with the set has a TV Guide Logo in a red box. This is the remote you should use.

NOTE: If TV guide has not yet been setup, then the 1st step is to follow instructions to set TV guide up.

Enter ZIP code, cable or ant. Etc.

1.press and release the "TV Guide". TV guide will appear on the screen.

2.Navigate to the TV Guide tool bar and use the ">" button to select "setup" in the menu and press

and release the "enter" button

3.use the "arrow down" button to select "default options"

4.press and release the "enter" button and select "general defaults"

5.press and release the "enter" button (opens menu on lower left side)

6. use the "arrow down" button to select "auto guide"

7. use the ">" button to select "off"

8. use the "arrow down" button to select "done"

9. press and release the "enter"

10. press and release the "TV Guide" button to turn the display off

System Reset Using Service Mode:

1. Enter Service Mode

2. Use the "muting" button to select "initialize" screen

3. While on the "initialize" screen

4. Use the "down arrow" button to select "final setup"

5. Press and release the "enter" button to select "data reset"

6. Use the ">" button on the remote to select "yes"

7. Press and hold the "enter" button until the screen goes black release "enter" button on remote.

8. Power the unit off using the remote control

9. Unplug the power cord from the media receiver to complete the reset

The channel stays lit in the upper right corner

Hello,

Unfortunately, you almost always have to have the original remote control to get this display to go away. The "display" button is a specific code on that remote.

With Dish remotes, though, sometimes you can try different buttons and they will occasionally operate different functions. In TV mode, try the menu orother buttons to see if it makes a difference. My suggestion is to call a TV repair shop and see if they will allow you to borrow/buy an original remote for that TV.

Hope this helps you...

Pass Code Menu
This menu allows you to change the access code for the Parental Guide
functions of the TV set. Pressing the “Menu” key when Pass Code
Control is highlighted. This will turn on or off the Pass Code function. With
the Pass Code function ON, you can also change the Pass Code. Use
the down arrow key to highlight “Pass Code,” then enter the new Pass
Code using the numeric keypad. Press the left arrow key when finished.
1. The factory default pass code of 6688 is also the override code, in case
you forget your new pass code.
2. The factory defaults have TV-MA and MPAA-X ratings blocked . Hope this may help you

No picture but sound on panasonic plasma

Unplug the TV and disconnect any HDMI cables to the set. If the issue goes away there is a possibility that your HDMI source is causing the problem. Anything on the HDMI can cause odd problems with the TV since the serial data and serail clock lines are routed on HDMI. Those are the 2 commmunication lines used throught the TV for operation so anything HDMI that might load down one of those can cause issues.

Guide Plus Demo

I have serviced lots of these, and as far as I know the CTC203 chassis has nothing like this, nor did anything made by Thomson before or since, so I am mystified. Adjustments are made with the remote or the front panel buttons using software and there are no "pins," test connectors, switches, or anything similar present on it. Usually the Guide Plus stops working entirely (which is nice for most users, as it is just an annoyance). Now if you unplug your TV for long enough for its microprocessor to reset, it will start with the Guide Plus screen. This is by design and can't be stopped without modification. Corruption of the set's internal program causing something strange like this is possible, but unlikely. (It was a problem on earlier models). Leave your TV plugged in and see if this problem goes away. If this is not the cause, you will have to take it in for service. Any demo modes can be turned on or off with the remote or the buttons on the set.
