Hi, I was just wondering how to network my desktop Compaq Presario SR1810NX with my Compaq Presario F700 laptop. Desktop has Windows XP Home as OS and laptop has Vista

1plug in monitor 2.right click desktop go to properties (on XP) or screen resolution (on 7 or vista) you should see two boxes labeled one and 2 double click 2 that's you monitor...on xp in the properties window go to settings tab to find that option, if it does not show up reset your computer with external monitor plugged in and repeat process if necessary if that doesn't work you need to update driver for your graphics card/chip

Download and extract the file to a new folder (Name this folder so you
know what it is and where it is.) MANUALLY install this driver. Go to
device manager>Right click on Network
controller>Update>Advance option>Browse to the folder you
made> select OK and install, Then reboot
