BLACK STRIP ON THE LEFT SIDE ON MY PAPER??? I HAVE A HP LASERJET 1022NW....WE HAVE CLEANED AND BLEW OUT THE PRINTER....STILL NO IMPROVEMENT....WHAT TO DO NEXT....

Run the 1/2 print test.
Put paper in the manual feed tray. Print a few pages of anything. As the paper gets about 3/4 of the way into the printer, open the cartridge door. Pull out the cartridge and look down at the paper. If it has the black stripe on the left side, replace the toner. In fact at this point, pick up the toner cartridge and gently swing the shutter open and look at the drum. You should be able to see a black stripe on it.

By the way, the toner hasn't been fused to the paper at this point. It will rub off on hands and clothes.
If the 1/2 test shows no stripe on the paper...replace the fuser.

My printer produces banding on the left hand side of the paper when printing. It is as though stripes of black toner are not applied during the print and it creates the appearance of white stripes. I have...

It sounds like a few things could have happened.. Someone might have put a tyvek type paper in the machine that has partially fused to the FUSER. Or your Fuser is reaching the end of it useful life.

The Fuser is what puts the image/text on the paper.

Replacement of the fuser unit will correct this. The average price for a unit is 175-225 dollars + install.

HP Laserjet P1006 prints with blank white stripe down left side

Clean the Corona Wire carefully to remove any residue. As the charge on the wire is effectivley masked it cannot deposit any toner to the page and will result in a consistent white vertical stripe.

The Print has white stripes

White stripes are caused by dust and toner powder on the scanner window, which is situated in the bottom of the printer, under the drum unit. Open the printer, remove the drum unit and using a soft cloth with a little meths wipe the window clean of toner and dust. It's quite dark inside the printer, so use a torch to find the glass panel (only about 10mm deep x the width of the drum).

XEROX CopyCentre C20-Blank stripe going down side

Open the cover and put a piece of paper on only half the glass, and make a copy. BLOCK the left side of the glass with the blank paper.
See where it is blank. Most of the times that is a dirty or haved up mirror in the scan head. One of the small mirrors in the black assembly under the lamp. When a digital copier scanner optics become dirty, the image in that area becomes very light .

Black strip Mark on paper after print

Ramana is the black stripe just showing up on copies or faxes or does the stripe occur when you are printing from your computer. If the stripe only occurs when copying or faxing then more than likely the scanner glass is dirty. White out liquid on the scanner glass is a common. If it happens when printing fromyour pc, the problem will be in the toner cartridge or the fusing assembly.
Change the cartridge first to see if it goes away. Check the scanner glass, especially the small glass strip on the left side of the scanner or the right side where you place the original paper. These areas should be completely clear and clean of any scratches or smudges.
Last is the fusing assembly. If you tried everything else and theline continues to bother you, the fusing assembly sleve is probably torn. This would have to be replaced. The part number is RM1-0865-040CN.

Printing not working well

the thermal head, scanner and the body. should be given focus on this problem. if the scanner is not copying well it needs cleaning by wiping the glass part with a alcohol in a cotton bud. if the scanner is really okay then the thermal head is not printing properly so it needs a thermal head replacing . or both are okay. the body is having problem. there must be a dis allignment on the said components. then this is the time to bring your fax machine to the panasonic shop center to do a further check and replace what is needed to be replace.
also try to check if you installed the toner and drum properly by following the installation instruction.
hope this could help you.
