We had a rolling blackout on thurs, friday, for all PDA phones. Internet connection refused on blackberrys.

On the blackjack 1, it would tell yout that the host party has disconnected.

Should be up and running now.

Although I do not know what happened, let me apologize for ATT

I need the nck code for att so i can unlock my samsung blackjack 2

http://www.globalunlockcodes.com is selling them for $1.99. This is probably the fastest and cheapest way you can unlock your phone. Unlock code is sent to your email in a few minutes. I got mine in less than 15.

AT&T SMS Settings for Unlocked Samsung Blackjack 2

ATT tech support & several web forums confirm that sending a SMS from your computer via an IM, (like Yahoo Messenger, etc.) to a PDA cellular is web based and requires a data plan. However, you can send a text message via email to cellular phones and receive replies. It is easy and just as fast. You have to know the recipients carrier to obtain the proper email address. For instance, to an ATT phone the address is: [email protected] Remember that most carriers have a character limit (ATT is 160).

See this link for a complete list of other carriers & email addresses- http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/10/28/send-free-text-message-with-hundreds-of-email-to-sms-gateway-or-internet-web-sms-from-operator/

Unlock att blackjack so i can put my tmobile sim in

Hi
On the AT&T Network, to unlock the Blackjack :
  • Power on without SIM
  • Type in #7465625*638*Unlock code# (8 digit unlock code*)
  • Device should say: “Network Lock Deactivated”
  • Phone may automatically reboot

The 8 digit code can be obtained by calling AT&T Technical Support and given the representative the IMEI number. In exchange they will give you the Subsidy Unlock Code.
To obtain the IMEI number press *#06# on your mobile device.

Can't send or receive MMS messages

I work in TSD for ATT , and from multiple cases like this , customer do not know that ATT requires that all PDA phones do require a PDA data package , without this you will not be allowed to send or receive MMS messages.

Blackjack II internet stops working....

Hello again dogbyte!

Fantastic! I'm thrilled to here the first fix went well!

Here's the deal on your most recent question...(Please excuse the long post - I'm intimately connected to this particular issue, so I figured I'd try to share some of the background on it.) Are you using GoodLink version 5.0.x by chance?

Our team has actually submitted bug reports to both GoodLink and AT&T on this issue. The BlackJack II has a connection setting called "AT&T IMS" (supposedly there to offer additional features on the AT&T network sometime soon.) Unfortunately, when GoodLink 5.0 is provisioned on a BlackJack II with this particular GPRS connection setting, internet problems are basically guaranteed.

The BlackJack II will successfully connect to the internet to download, install, and synchronize GoodLink. The first time the device disconnects from data services (i.e. - roams out of data coverage, the device is powered off, the device hits critical battery, etc.), data will not reconnect.

You've got two options:

I. Delete the "AT&T IMS" GPRS Connection Setting

1) Navigate to Start > Settings > More... > Connections > GPRS
2) Use the multi-directional pad to highlight the AT&T IMS connection.
3) Click Menu > Delete
4) Press Yes to confirm the delete.
5) GoodLink and Pocket IE should be able to connect to data services again in 5-10 minutes or less.

Note 1: Solution I needs to be performed again if the device is hard reset. If your user(s) need to hard reset the device upon occasion, you may want to make the instructions above readily available to the user, OR consider option II to prevent confusion (if option II is available).

Note 2: Changing the Access Point Name on this connection from "ims.cingular" to "wap.cingular" can also solve the problem, but it's not always consistent.

I. Provision the BlackJack II with GoodLink 4.9.3.x.

This last stable release for GoodLink 4.9 seems operate without the same data issues. Although Good 4.9.3.x doesn't offer some of the more robust features of Good 5.0 (such the ability to send email attachments from the device or RSS feeds), we've been deploying Good 4.9.3 to BlackJack II users since we discovered this issue a little over two weeks ago, and it's definitely made a postive difference.

Another Potentially Related Issue

You may also notice surprisingly frequent "403 Forbidden" messages in Pocket Internet Explorer on AT&T devices (including the BlackJack II).

All Internet Explorer traffic from an AT&T device goes through AT&T's proxy. AT&T's proxy apparently includes a rule that disconnects a user if they haven't used the web for a specific period of time (I've heard 2 hours, but that may vary). Unfortunately, AT&T and Microsoft haven't figured out a way to simply open that Pocket IE connection back up... at least not easily.

If you're seeing "403 Forbidden" errors, you'll want to do one of the following to close and reopen the data connection:

I. Reboot the phone
(closes and reopens all of the connections)

II. Manually disconnect cellular data
1) Click the Power/Quick List button on the top of the BlackJack II. The "Quick List" should appear
2) Select Wireless Manager
3) Click Menu > Disconnect cellular data
(You should notice the "MEdia Net" indicator under "Phone" change to "On")
4) Click Done to return to the Homescreen.
5) Open Internet Explorer again and navigate to the desired page.

Note: Although the "403" error doesn't necessarilly interfere with GoodLink connectivity, manually disconnecting cellular data will. If you don't open IE an actively open a data connection to reach the web, you'll probably want to open GoodLink and do a quick manual Send/Receive, just to make sure that it re-establishes its connection.

Data Connections

Did you upgrade your phone to WM6?
I had loads of issues with this until I found the answer on Cingular's forum. Make sure that under Settings > GPRS you have Media Net selected and not the AT&T one.

There's also this link http://www.blackjackusers.com/ which is full of usfull info.
