Connect the player to the pc,
open my computer, look for the disk icon for the player.
right click that icon, scroll down to format.

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

How do i delete music already on there

hi there,

for erasing the data on it you perhaps can find such option by either browsing the data management or settings section in the player's menu or by hooking it up to a PC and erasing the music files on it by using the windows explorer(handle player like a small external harddrive, but just delete the unwanted files, do not format(!) it as this will erase the firmware (necessary for the player!) )as well.

good luck

Erase everything from my Sandisk M230

Hello!

Im affraid to answer this question. because i only gain' thanks for trying" but its ok.

In your case , If you want to delete all files in your sansa, maybe you can delete it by formatting your sansa disk. You can find maybe the format on the menu and select format the disk(something like that.) Or you can connect the sansa to the computer and delete all files in there. You can browse your files in the my computer and select the drive created by computer when the sansa is connected.

may this help, melnavz

Dleting unwanted music

You can use Windows Explorer to transfer files to your insignia sport player. First, in the settings on your player, go to Settings, USB Mode, Connection Type and select File & Folder. Then, plug your player in to your USB cable. Windows XP should automatically find your player and make a new drive letter in Windows Explorer. Simply drag and drop your mp3 files from your c drive to the new drive for your player. You'll notice that when you delete the files on your new drive for your player that it doesnt remove them from your player. You'll need to use your player (settings, system, erase internal) to erase internal (and external), but after that when you add new files, they will be added to the player when it does the profiling after you disconnect the USB cable. RCA M202A

I found the best way to delete your mp3; go to start..find you device in "my computor" it will be a generic drive. right click and go to "format" click and it will prompt you to delete "playlist".."audio" or "music". However it will erase everything on your mp3 and allow new downloads. if you want to save some files; Plug mp3 in usb port..you will get prompt to define which system to play files. I use realplayer. scroll down until you can select "rca (G)" click "view" your mp3 will load and display all songs..you can then select and delete any or all, right click and choose option. To load; choose burn/transfer scrool down on the leftside to rca (G) and you can choose from you music menu ( I suggest making a playlist first to indentfy what songs you prefer, you can always add more from all music menu. add any files that you like until full. depending on song generally about 50 to 65 son on the 512 model. Do not worry about too many songs.. NO harm....they just won't fit.... I hope this help anyone with this problem
