My bathtub drain leaks. Is there a product to

My bathtub drain leaks. This problem is most likely a result of poor craftsmanship at the time the home was built. The Home Owner Warranty has expired. Without tearing apart the tub and surrounding finish work, is there a product to pour into the drain so that it seals as it moves down the drain.

Thank you.

No, not without sealing, I mean clogging, the drain. Do you know exactly where the leak is coming from? I would suspect that the water is getting around the drain, instead of down the drain. The visible part of the drain should unscrew from the part that is underneath. That bottom part is likely permanently sealed to your drain plumbing.
You may be able to easily fix your leak by:
#1 Unscrewing the visible drain top.
#2 Replacing the washer under that top. This will seal your tub to your drain. All water will then be forced to flow down the drain properly.
#3 Screw the top of your drain back into place WITHOUT folding or wrinkling the new washer.
Good luck

My hot water pressure is **** poor due to the hot water pipes becoming galvanised..IS there a product out there that will clear the galvanisation from the pipes feeding my shower?

Sorry to say but, there are no products that will clear your galvanized pipes without causing major leaking and contamination. best thing to do is replace all galvanized pipe with copper or PVC type piping.

Our Kohler bathtub is leaking water under the tub. We think the rubber ring in the drain needs to be replaced, but we have no idea how to remove the drain, or where to buy a new one, or how to install a...

The drain portion of your tube is fort he most part universal, go to the local Home Depot or Loews and ask some questions sometimes they even have samples set up on boards in the plumbing dept you can look at. Get out there! Good Luck

Bath tub leaks

Well if its not from drain then it could be from one of the supply valve (hot/cold) it is also possible that its leaking from the overflow drain. this gets overlooked sometimes because of its location. One thinks that water has to be filled that high but one might be surprised how much water gets there when taking a shower or splashing in the tub. There should be an access panel to check the valves and overflow gasket. If not remove the handles and echuns to see if you can see anything.

07 harley street bob. front fork seal leaking after 10,000 miles. The seal bushing had poor craftsmanship and scratched the tube casuing seel to leak. is this common?

Not very common, but I don't see how the seal could scratch the tube. There are a few millimeters of clearance between the tube and metal part of the seal. The rubber seal rubs the tube and is bonded to the metal ring. Either the tube was scratched during assembly or the seal was BADLY dented somehow. Further, the tube is hard chromed and the seal metal is soft steel. Go figure!
