I have an older Sharp Linytron TV Model # 19C-M100R. I am looking for a manuel on it to look for a code to program the remote.

You could try

operatingguides.com

if you need a user manual
or

servicemanuals.co.uk

if you want the schematics etc

We've used them in the past and found them very good.

Also if it is not listed then ask via the link and they
will probably be able to get it for you.

19 inch sharp TV - hooked up to exterior antennae - video problem

You should check the set with another video source to rule out the set from being defective. The process of elimination is the only way to find out where the problem is.

I was told I can hook up my computer monitor to my Sharp 40 inch

Your video adapter will only supply video input from your computer to your television. You must use an audio cable from the audio out of your computer (that would be the jack that you would normally plug your computer speakers into) to the audio input jack of your television shown below.

To do this, you will need a double male 1/8" stereo sable audio cable seen below.

One end plugs into your computer audio out and the other end into the audio jack shown in the illustration. You will then get your computer audio through your television speakers. You will be able to control the sound both with the television audio and the computer audio settings.

Hook up

My workaround for this was to use the Composite output (yellow video, red/white audio) out from the DVD player and put it as input into our VCR.  You can then use a coax output from the VCR into the tv.

If you don't have a VCR then I'd go to Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. and see if they sell any adapters or converter boxes
