We have puchased the Fisher Price Computer Cool School software in Australia and my son loves it. We recently puchased further games from the US like the Clifford and Sccoby Do and they are not working as they are asking for the Software to be installed before the game can run. You can imagine the disappointment for my son. Is there anything that can be done for us to get these games to run.
I have found out more about this program. The Australian version of this product is an old version and the UK version. The Add-ons from the USA are for a different US version of the base software. I am unsure if you are familiar with the concept of the computer registry, the central repository for all your settings, when you install Cool school it creates many entries and lists them under folders called "uk". The US add-ons can't find the "US" folder it expects and hence falsely believes the software is not installed. I accidently fixed this by replacing my base install disk with a US one. Best bet it to by Aussie add-ons (from "Toys r us" etc). If you have invested heavily in the US disks, there might be a solution however, the Aussie addon's, should you purchase them, will then not work.
You need the UK, US Version Of Leos Classroom if you're using US versions of the add on. Uninstall your copy and re-install the US version and it will all work fine.
