Crisper door/water line freeze problem

Crisper draws are at bottom of fridge, cold air collects at the bottom and warmer air rises. Turn thermostat dial down, mine is set on 2 out of 6 and every thing stays fresh and doesn't freeze. In very hot weather I do sometimes turn it up to 3.

Temperature for refer part is too cold.

You have a white cover in the back of your fridge it says twin cool on it. Behind that cover is a drain for your defrost cover that is probably frozen and water is leaking through that cover. Wrap a piece of copper wire around the heater and fish it down the drain and it
will fix the problem

I believe there is a air vent / hole .. if you remove the crisper drawer on left you should see a small mechanical vent if so close it.

No, you can't. The line goes into the mold of the machine with no access there.You have either an air leak in the dispenser area, around the ice shoot possibly, or the resevoir, which is located on the refrigerator side in the lower area behind the drawers is freezing, which is most likely the case. There are vents on the lower section for the crisper drawers. If you take out the drawers you'll find a roll of 1/4 " tubing which they call a resevoir that cools the water down. This is probably frozen,and you can insulate this, but I would raise the temperature in the fridge side or close the vents to the crisper area.

I have Ge GSS25XSQA SS side by side and the food in the refrigerator drawers (crisper and meat) are freezing. Also the ice dispenser is frozen closed. The water dispenser still works.
Want can I do to fix it. Would dirty coils have anything to do with this?

In the mean time remove crisper dware and look on the back wall of the ref. you will see a dime sized hole on the center tower. Cover the hole with tape and reinstall crisper.

if condensation stays in there, it'll freeze up on the evaporator coils. when the defrost cycle goes on, it'll melt but stay in the fridge, only to eventually freeze up again. so, unclog that line. also, check your door seals for leaks. that may be where the warm, moist air is getting in.

You may have two mutually exclusive probems... one being the water dispenser doesn't dispense water... As you stated, the obvious remedy would be to replace your filter to see if that is restricting water flow.. secondly, your vegetable crisper is freezing vegetables... chances are that the inlet between the freezer compartment and that vegetable darwer is near there and the damper needs to be closed a bit... See if you can locate the cold air inlet vent and partially close the damper ... Hope that helps...
