No power to coil

Check the pink wire. It goes from the ignition switch to two circuits in the under-hood fuse box and the ignition coil. One circuit goes to ENG-1, ECM-1, IGN-E. The other circuit goes to GAUGES, FUSE 4, AIRBAG FUSE 10 and TURN/BU FUSE 16.

If all those fuses do not have power when the ignition switch is turned to start or run check the pink wire as it comes from the firewall connection. If you don't have power on the hood side, there may be a bad connection between the two halves of the connector.

If you do have power on the pink wire on the hood side of the firewall then you may have to check it between the coil to the firewall connector and underneath the under-hood fuse box.

I would use a tone tracer on the pink wire while the ignition switch is in the off position. (turning the switch off makes the wire only go in one direction, to the engine compartment) The tool sends a tone signal through the wire (in this case it would be hooked up to the pink wire) and has a receiver that lets you follow the tone in the wire without having to open the wire harness. You can just follow the wire harness and hear the tone signal. if there is a break in the wire or the connection is terminated somewhere in the circuit the tone will stop. Makes it a lot easier to trace a wire.

Sounds like you have two hot wires. Just need to find out which wire goes to the wall switch. Try gray to black from fan, pink to black/white wire.white to white & green to green. If this doesn't work swich the pink & gray wires.

Connecting lighting correctly

Don't know what you're working with.

AC household electricity?

Common (White) wire goes to all three lights. Goes to silver colored screw.
Hot (Black) wire goes to switch, then all three lights.

ALWAYS put the switch in the hot wire. Not the Common.
Reason?
Let's say you are changing a light bulb.
Your feet are on the floor. You are then considered to be Grounded.

You have the light switch off. You go to remove the light bulb, slip, and a finger goes in the socket.
Result?
You get shocked.

Hot (Black) wire has the switch. This time of you slip, and a finger goes in the light bulb socket; you won't be shocked.
The power is turned off at the switch.

Common wire comes from source. (Service Panel/'Breaker Box'), and goes to the lights.
Hot (Black) wire comes from source, and goes to light switch.
Then to the first light, second light, and third light.

Is there a 3-way switch involved?
Walk in one end of the room, turn the light on, walk to the other end of the room, and turn it off?

Post back in a Comment as to the exact query.

94 explorer no crank but starts when bridged at relay. changed bat. starter, relay, ignition coil/ switch/ and ignition, terminals, ground cable, fuse, black relayZ?????

Check for power on the red with light blue wire at the ignition switch with the key in the crank position. If there is no power make sure there is power on the yellow wire at the ignition switch. Also check to make sure the key is making the full turn to the crank position. If there is power than check for power on the Pink wire at the neutral safety switch on the side of the automatic transmission. If there is not power I need to know if you have the anti-theft system or not. If there is power than check for power out of the neutral safety switch on the red with light blue wire. If there is power on that wire pull the starter relay and check to see if two pins are grounded all the time. One of the other two pins that are not grounded should have power all the time. The other pin should have power when the key is in the crank position. That should get you started. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. The 3.3 engen overheats but the fan doesn't kick in. I have changed the thermostat but that didn't help the over heating. I hot wired the fan and it will run. ???? Is there a fuse some place i...

Try unplugging the temp sensor located on or near the thermostat housing. This will cause the fan to come on, if it works. If the fan does not come on then check for burnt wires near battery and fuse box. You may need to squeeze and manipulate these wires to find burnt area. I have seen coolant temp sensors, faulty fan motors, and burnt fuseible links cause this. When unpugging the CTS the check engine light will come on, don't worry about it.

No brake light or blinkers.

you've lost power to your rear wire harness.
use a test light.
1.check test light at battery first to make sure the test light works(test).
2.remove seat and find each wire going to the rear section of the bike.
it should be a plug in type connector, I believe its a 5 wire connector.
3.unplugg this connection and test the side coming from the front of the bike.
to test it, turn ignition on. hold tester to one wire at a time. When test light comes on, that
is your power wire. note the color.
this power wire is for your tail/tag/and or any running lights

turn left blinker on, then hold tester to other wires to see which one blinks. note the color.

turn right blinker on, then hold the tester to wires to see which one blinks.note the color.

step on brake pedal, then hold the tester to wires to see which one comes on and stays
on until you release the brake. this is your brake light wire only and comes from a brake
pressure switch.
the brake switch should have constant power to one side always. when you apply the brakes
the pressure in the switch make contact to other side of switch which sends power to your
brake light. note the color

the wires running under the fender make be broken from scrubbng the tire.
fix the wires or replace them.

4. if you had no power at all, then check your battery is fully charged
5. if no power with a good battery, check fuses.
6. if no power with a good battery and good fuses, then you'll have to trace the wires in the wire
harness to find where the break is.
7. to test any ground wires, simply reverse the connection on the test light.
hook the clamp to the positive side of the battery.
Now test any ground, by touching the tester to it, even the engine and frame should be
grounded and make the test light come on.

As a mechanic, i know time is important, and this test will only take approx and hour or less to perform.
i am color blind and i have to test every wire all the time to make sure i know which wire is which.
once i find it i label it.
works for me everytime.
takes longer to find it then to fix it.
Hope to be helpful.

Nothing

please tell me your exact model number of Jensen TV, or what ever tv it is. Why does your switch have a light?

When you toggle the switch, you have to do it 3 times, waiting 2.5 seconds in between. There is also a way to overide the switch altogether in a progrmaming mode on some Jensens.
