Have you checked whether mains power reaches the power board? Check it first. If yes, the power board you purchased newly should be checked.

If you look on the underside of the machine you should see a small rectangular label with the "Windows" and "Microsoft" logo on it. This will tell you what operating system was on it originally. Incidentally there is no "Windows 2007 operating system" From what I can see in the spec sheet you will only be able to run MS-DOS or maybe even Windows 95. I would suggest you try looking for a Linux based OS, as it is more likely that you can find a usable OS in that Niche. It is also free.

I have the toshiba 23hlv85 and it will not power up, red light on when plugged in, maybe the power source???

Hello Corey hi, Its not the power source but the power supply circuit board on your TV. this is where the red light is connected. this simply means that there is an overload/short circuit somewhere inside your TV. this overload prevents the power supply board to turn on for protection. To find the overload in your TV, needs the services of a technician. Usually they swap boards and isolate where the problem is. I suggest you inquire about your problem to your dealer. see if they have after-market service.

Hello Hloggins, hi, your power supply is not producing the pulse needed to start the switching. check for the IC on the oscillator part of the power supply, you need an Oscilloscope to test this. if there is no scope. i suggest you replace the IC.

Flashing power button tv won't turn on Nothing on screen does not respond to remote. Pressing and holding power button on tv does not work. Screen is black and power light just flashes. Tried unplugging....

yes call the tech and have the power board replaced. In future have the TV plugged into an anti surge board to protect it ( and you from expensive repair.) I suspect you will need a new power supply fitted

Toshiba 50H71 Projection TV

I would check the power supply and the tuner section. This sounds like the low voltage powers supply is going bad or that the tuner section might be going bad. Does the picture fade to snow? Also I would suggest that you let a TV Technician take a look at the TV to determine what is happening. Most likely it is the power supply.

Thank you,

I hope this helps,

Toshiba tv problem

This looks like a problem either with the powers supply to the video signal processor and with thr power supply to the horizontal section (lack of complete horizontal deflection. This was caused by the voltage and current spikes of the power coming back on rapidly. Now to fix this problem involves coming into contact with hazardous voltages, I would suggest that you not attempt this repair on your own if you do not have a background in electronics. Please take this set to a qualified electronics repair shop
