I had this problem it's not from the ps2 it's from the disk. For some reason gta disks don't want to corporate with the slightest of scratches.

I had the same problem- Wash the back of the disc with windex and a paper towel. It should work because it worked for me.

Your processor barely meets the system requirements while your video card falls below the requirements as Vice City needs a 32mb card WITH DirectX 9 support. You could upgrade the video, but you would still be in the same situation with the processor barely making it. Best bet is to think about getting a new PC.

Clean up the Grand Theft Auto Disc. I may have scratches or smudges that keep it from reading.
