Troubleshooting
Chime does not sound:
• Make sure the doorbell button and the chime codes are the same (See pages
2 and 3).
• Check orientation of doorbell button battery (See page 3).
• Check the doorbell button and chime batteries, replace if necessary.
Batteries seem OK, but the chime does not work when installed:
• Do not mount the chime or doorbell button on metal or near metal studs. This
reduces the transmitter range. Use 1/4" to 1/2" (6 to 13 mm) wood shims to
move the chime or doorbell button off the metal surface.
• Don't mount the chime too close to ground level concrete slabs. This may
also reduce the range. Mount the chime away from the floor.
• Try different locations for the chime closer to the doorbell button. Also try to
orient the chime at a different angle to increase the range.
The range of the doorbell depends on location, temperature and battery
condition.

SOURCE: My door bell system does

These units (not just this brand) seem to be notoriously under-powered, particularly if there is any substantial structure (brick, stone, etc.) between the pushbutton and the chime unit. Try to locate the two pieces as close to each other as possible. If practical, mount the pushbutton unit on the door itself instead of the door frame (but only if the door is NOT made of metal.) *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. Phantom bell rings on Siemens wirreless door bell chime jsjs-204, I do not have instructions

You may need to change the frequency of the chime. In this model, you need to remove the batteries from the receiver unit and wait for a while. Then replace the batteries. The doorbell unit should automatically set itself to a different frequency once you press the button, which will(hopefully) solve the problem.

It seems impossible to find the instruction manual for the doorbell. But see http://oddsnsods.net/blog/?p=68 who had a similar problem with a different Siemens model, which works on the same principles. (I can't seem to be able to remove the battery from the door bell unit on the jsjs204, but it reset itself after changing the batteries in the receiver).

My doorbell is no longer ringing. Should a battery be changed? Where? I don't know what to do.

In the door bell push button case there is a compartment on the back. slide the cover off to reveal the batteries for changing.

The ignition bell wont stop ringing

You need to unplug the door harness one at a time to locate which door is causing the problem. Once the door is located, you can replace the switch which is located on the lock mechanism.

Bell wont stop ringing

Thankyou,

Bonjour, dearest Sir/Madamme, it would be an honor to help you out, the bell is a door open and close alert system in the Elite. They are usually activated with time. On the hinges on the doors, there are sometimes tilt switches, the tell the circuit system when to alert, as soon as the door is open some count time, if the time is prolonged, and the switches are open, (that would mean the door is open as well). They activate. I would check the door hing, a swith could be open/closed depending on the format of operation.
Thankyou, :)
