I have a Kitchenaid superba gas range slide in, model #KGST307HBS9. The nob of one burner, only, the left rear, will initiate the electronic spark that will light burners. When that nob is turned to ?lite,? then sparking occurs at all burners. None of the other burners can be lit by turning their nobs to ?lite.? However, two of the burners can be ignited when the left rear burner is turned to ?lite? by turning on the gas, left front and right rear. The sparking of the right front is weak and irregular and does not succeed in igniting its gas. It seems to me that there are two problems. One in the sealed right front burner that produces a weak spark. The other problem seems to be located, at least potentially, in the switches of the three burners that will not create a spark. I am interested to know if this is a possible diagnosis. If it is then when an expert is called to service the sealed burner that person could be expected to try to fix this second problem by dealing with the switches, rather than with all the sealed burners ? a more expensive and maybe unneeded fix. I want advice on this ? my first question Secondly, this second problem I might be able to deal with myself, by cleaning or possibly replacing the switches. (For our much simpler gas stove I?ve regularly replaced the electronic ignition modules.) My immediate problem is getting the ceramic cover off the switches to get at them. I?ve removed three sheetmetal screws that I can see when I open over door that are securing the cover, and it is now loser, but is still not free to be removed. Where are the other screws? ? my second question. Thanks.

Pull out the bottom drawer and you will find the spark module. I strongly suspect it is weak. Here is a video that shows operation:
This one shows the module on the backside but I looke dup yours and it is below in the backside of the bottom drawer. Ok here is what i think The igniters could be dirty and I have a video showing how to check that plus another video to show how to remove those pesky switches on the top burners and spark module operation.

How do I remove the top on a Kitchenaid Superba (KGST307GWHO) slide in range? I need to access the igniter electrode that seems to be shot.

Hello Barry;

My name is peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Are you sure that it is the ignitor? It could be the ignitor spark module located behind the gas burner nob.

To determine which one is bad and save money, replace these components with good components on your range that are working.

Go into the following websites. In the sears website plug in you model number to get diagrams and part numbers. Search the internet for less expensive part cost.

Kitchenaid superba gas stove left front burner will not operate unless back left burner is turned on at same time

The switch for that particular burner is bad. It turns out that whenever you switch on 1 burner, they all spark - that's a safety feature. Depending on the model, you may just need to replace the 1 switch, but usually, they are part of a switch string, and you have to replaced the whole string of switches..

Kitchenaid superba oven

It is very possible that moisture from the cleaning has caused the ignition switches to make enough resistance to cause the burners to spark. It usually goes away after the stove has dried out. If it continues after a day or so one or more of the ignitor switches may need replacing.

I have a Kitchenaid superba convection/gas oven model KGR1607hblg (?) I had soup overflow from the top burner and now the burners will not ignite. When turned on they will spark but nothing catches.

Make sure that all the soup was cleaned out of the little holes in the burner that the gas comes out of. You can use a toothpick or some other small object like that to try to clean them out

If the front left also does not light normally, my best guess would be that the wires for the front left and right rear are crossed and the insulation may have fried. Besides that possibility, I have no clue.

My wolf rage doesn't light anymore by turning a nob

some models have one gas pilot for 2 burner front and rear and there is a small pipe that goes front the burner to to the pilot, the burner has small holes facing the pipe the goes to the pilot that's where you take a paper clip or a safety pin and clear or clean the holes, the same thing on the electronic ignition, but some electronic ignition they have a spark right nest to the burner and by looking at the other burner that are working you can see where it's sparking, and clean in between the burner and the spark.

Electric start gas range

You either have a short in your electronic ignition or the ignition board is defective. Check the wiring to the ignition board for shorts. also check and make sure you ignitors are well grounded.
