Wont copy My X5150 suddnely will not copy. It will still print from the computer just fine. But if I use the machine to just copy something, the paper feeds a few inches into the machine as it normally would, the printer scans the document, then nothing. The paper just sits there, and the readout says 'copying'. Have to press 'Stop/Clear' to feed the blank sheet through and get rid of the 'copying' readout.

What the problem sounds like is that the machine and print driver are set to diifferent paper types.
One says plain paper and the other bond paper.
Or something like that, the machine says bond and the printer plain paper.
Chech the size setting and paper orinentation.
Most of the time the paper type is wrong. Also check paper color etc etc. Something between the machine and driver is mismtached

check scanner unit which hit the opc drum, may be hide by something

this is possibly a problem in the fuseing part of your machine, where the paper heats up at the back, the fuser roller could be worn out. and your toner could be sticking to it.

Is it from every progam/application? If it's only from MS Word for example, it could be your margins.

If it's from all applications, maybe your paper size is set to something other than what's really in there?

More then likely with it doing that. Something is in the paper path blocking one side of the paper.

sounds like the scanner/copier engine(same device, by the way) has gone way UnHappy. time for a service call or a recycling effort on that machine..it's a major component..and buried deep inside machine.

you need to get a new printer.

If you arnt putting the original upside down then it will need scanner replaced, no easy fix... approx $Aus250.
