Question about Sony KV-24FV12 24" TV
Customer said tv had a power surge and now its pretty much a dead set with led blinking two times. relay is heard but that is all. any suggestions
Two-blinks of the "Diagnostic STANDBY/TIMER LED" indicates one of two things:
1) Horizontal Output (Q502) in shorted on the A-board.
2) IC702 is shorted (CB board)
Two-blinks of the diagnostic red LED is a " B+ Overcurrent" problem.
The red LED will blink 2-times, stay off for 3 seconds, then blink 2-times. The cycle repeats.
The circuit board is quite delicate. One should not attempt repairs (unless one has high quality vacuum desoldering equipment such as a PACE desoldering unit).
