I honestly think it's broken and suggest taking it to a repair shop or buying a new one.

Toshiba projection TV. Bulbs wont come on

The deflection board in failing, eventually it will not come on at all, disconnecting power is only reseting the HV shutdown protection circuit which is the reason your set if failing. Have a technician replace the Horizonal Output Transistor and the flyback transformer.

Please comment if you need futher assitance.

After replacing hv splitter and focus block and about four hours of adjusting the convergence board in the front I finally got a great picture, but now i notice when you have a title like on my dtv...

Is this set a RCA ? You may want to double check the seating of the Anode Lead from the HV Transformer to the HV Slitter, If pulled out
a little arching will occur with-in the Bock and cause premature failure if not corrected. Also make sure that all ground connctions are made from the CRTS to the HV Block if there are any.
Hope this Helps,

Help! Toshiba 51H84..Power light flashing, tv picture won't come on!

You need a new HV transformer. Usually you can just buy the transformer itself. It's a little black tower on the backside of the tv. If it's not that, it's the convergence ic's. There's two of them, given it's a toshiba, the part number is more than likely stk392-110.

Loud electrical sounds

It sounds like the Power transistor that drives the High Voltage Transformer shorted out. The rapid clicking sound you are hearing when pressing the power button now is that of the power supply starting to come up, detecting a short circuit and shutting back off again, preventing further damage. It is likely that the HV Transformer is shorted as well which usually causes the Output transistor to fail. Since the set is only 2 1/2 years old, it is probably worthwhile getting it to a repair shop as long as you have been very satisfied with the picture quality up to this point. If the picture size was larger than you needed, you might consider going down to a 37" LCD HDTV set. Toshiba is tops in this category IMHO.
