I have a 3400 lexmark, no disk to install, how can i install it without the disk

This could be a driver issue. Uninstall the Lexmark software by going to the Start menu -> All Programs -> Lexmark 3400 Series -> Tools -> Uninstall. Reboot pc when prompted.
Reinstall using the installation disk.
If problem continues, please contact Lexmark technical support for assistance. If you want, they can do a remote access to your computer and check its settings and do some diagnostics. I'm confident they can get it resolved for you.

Here's the link to the Lexmark driver page for that printer. Choose the correct version for your computer's operating system (ie-Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7). Let me know how you make out.

Well, you can't really download a CD...but you can download the software you need.

Go to:

Lexmark Support

Enter your complete model number in the box. As you do the models will appear above. Click on the icon for your model.

When you click on the icon a new page will open with tabs for Downloads, Publications (manuals), and Top Documents (which gives instructions for installing a downloaded driver).

Click on the Downloads tab. You will be given a choice of drivers to download. Choose the one for the operating system you have.

Click on the Download Now link. The easiest thing will be to Save the file to your Desktop. Follow your Setup and when it tells you to install the software, simply run (double-click) the file that you downloaded to your desktop.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthefile,doubleclick on the file, if you get introubles,thenfollowinstructions below to reset and reinstall:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website and run the file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printer does not work on Vista
