Re: computor shuts down for no reason. then I have to
Hi, Make double sure that your CPU isnt overheating , Your PC Turns off when it detects your CPU getting too hot , so it wont overheat and get damaged....Try using Realtemp or Speedfan to check your CPU tempreture.. Hope this helps bud Happy new year :)

Left-click "Applications"
Shut down the app then exit TM.

try holding down the power button for 5 seconds this will shut it down but this is not the correct way to shut down computer at all. you need to go start>control panel>hardware and sound>power options>click on the left side it says choose what the power button does>next window use drop down to tell it to shutdown.....but the correct way to shut down is start>shutdown
You've provided too few info.
It's impossible to guess the reason w/o additional facts.
Is it switch off immediately or it peforms correct Windows shut down procedure? Or may be it just reboots?
First leads to a hardware failure, most probably power supply unit or motherboard (less probably). Try to just replace PSU at first (get one for test from your neighbor or friend, you just need to make connections, no need to install PSU to the case).
Second leads to a software problem, such as virus activity or driver failure. Try to explore events in Windows Event viewer. You may need to call pro to find the failure.
Third may lead to both hardware or software problem. Very wide variety of problems. You'd provided no more symptoms. Most probably profy required at the place.
By "clean my windows on my computor" if that means the software try this program : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ Download, install, and use it often. I'm not clear on my "my computor needs booting"? Shut down the computer and re-boot.
press any key to wake it up, if that doesn't work for some reason press the power button once. it should wake up. if all else fails hold the power button down for 5 seconds until it shuts off and reboot it.
CONTROL PANEL SYSTEM DEVICE MANAGER OPEN SOUND,VIDEO AND GAMES OPEN IT YOU WILL SEE YOUR SOUND CARD NAME UPDATE DRIVER THEN IF IT DOESN'T UPGRADE YOU DRIVER SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES. YOU COULD ALSO TRY IN YOUR CONTROL PANEL ADD HARDWARE AND SEE IF IT GIVE YOU YOU SOUND CARD,IF IT'S NOT THERE YOU CAN SHUT DOWN,OPEN THE BOX ,TAKE OUT YOUR SOUND CARD REBOOT SHUT DOWN PUT THE CARD BACK IN AND REBOOT AGAIN TO SEE IF WINDOWS FINDS AND INSTALLS THE DRIVERS?
If you are using Windows operating system then click on the lower left "Start" button, click on "Shut Down", and then let the machine shut itself off. Hit the power on button on your pc and turn it back on. That is the reboot. IF for some reason the Start button is not allowing you to turn off the machine, you are in other words "hung", then Hold Down the power button of your pc until the machine turns off. You should power back on your machine and choose to boot as normal.
Hello:
If this unit is shutting down your computer while it is installed and the computer does not shut down with it not installed then I strongly suggest you not use it. After all it is refurbished meaning there was a problem with it in the past for it to need to be repaired..
Hi. Forgive me for asking, but did you try unplugging everything, including the firewire, and plugging it in again?
If you try this and it doesn't work, try shutting your laptop down gracefully, then unplug all the Firebox connectors including the electricity. Wait about 10 seconds, then reboot your laptop. Don't open your recording software yet.
Connect the electricity and the firewire as described in the Firebox manual, and then open your recording software. If this doesn't work, something might be wrong with the Firebox.
The problem you have happens once in a while with mine--it seems to be connected with overheating or something. Anyone else have this problem?
