Sound went out, all I get is white noise that you cannot mute. Happened when I changed from high def to regular channel. Even with everything unhooked still just white noise.

Analog regular channel TV was turned off mid 2009. You need a digital channel convertor box to receive the new digital channels... The analog ones went bye, bye in the USA. Without the box you will just get noise.

Wasn't clear that pix was fine... I misunderstood that...

You said you have a digital cable box... I ASSUME that means that you are connected to cable.

IF SO, the problem is LIKELY with the head end of your cable provider. You should first report it to them... they MAY already know of the problem.

With no signal into your TV the normal thing would be noise, so when you disconnect, only noise would be expected.

If you have a DVD player or VCR to test with, if your TV works with that, the problem is the cable box or the cable.

How can I get my Denon 2106 to play through my television? I'm not sure what's happened. I feel like I have the cables hooked up properly. It's worked for years. My stereo plays, so it's not the speakers....

Hello: If you are trying to get the sound from the TV to come through the receiver to your speakers and are hearing nothing, I had the same problem. For some reason, and I have the question posted, the sound level requirement is much higher for the TV. I turned my receiver up to +2 decibels and the sound was there. However, if you play high def channels through the receiver, the +2 will blow your ears off. My new problem is why does the regular TV need so much volume on the dial while the high def channels only require the lower sound level. It prevents you from switching from regular to high definition channels. So, in summary, the sound is there, just turn the volume way up.

My mic seems to pick up internal noise even when muted

Hi, You can check you the connectios or the mic. remember that the mic is too sensitive, you can adjust it with the nobb on the mic by putting it on o -dB and reduce the highs on your mixer or EQ to reduce hiss sound.

But fisr check the connection properly to see if when muted, is muted properly.

Take care.

No picture but have sound

Make sure your not trying to watch a high def channel, you will get sound but no picture if tuned to a high def channel on a non high def input or cable box. Try a vcr or dvd player connected to the unit to varify the picture tube has not gone out.

Full screen view

in order to get the full HD experience you should be using HDMI cables. if you're using the white/red/yellow cables then your HD channels will not broadcast in full HD and you'll be stuck with the annoying black things around your screen
