Power lite started blinking, i unplugged and waited a bit and plugged back in. Now no lite at all, nothing. Is it dead?

You can do quite a bit to narrow things down....

First thing, unplug the set and wait 10 minutes. Then plug it in and watch the green power LED. If it does nothing push the power button and watch the power LED. If the set doesn't respond hold down the MENU and INPUT buttons on the front of the set until the LED starts blinking. If it blinks at this time count the blinks and then repost.

Try this: Unplug your computer from electricity, remove battery, then, press and hold the power button for about 30 to 60 seconds, leave battery out connect to power then, try to restart

Power light blinking

That is because either you screen is dead(test by connecting a exteral monitor) or you motherboard is dead and I have been seeing many dead motherboards as of late
