It maybe the circuit protection detection failed to function properly have it checked by a technician to solve the problem as soon as possible or before it gets worst trying to keep on turning it on.

65" mitsubishi rear projection tv won't turn

IF model number posted is correct and green power light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off:
On front of set press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code is found and I will tell you what it means.

Good day, crsomers1;
The 'giggling' may be a horizontal problem, also known as pie crusting. Try this first: unplug TV from wall, reset or reboot. Secondly: CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 (9-VOLT REGULATOR) ON THE SIGNAL PCB.
I hope this was helpful, good luck, big IRISH.

Try pushing Input and Menu together and hold them both in for 5 seconds to see if it blinks a 2 digit code which repeats itself. Then let me know what it does and we can go from there.

Push Power button, green light goes on for a few seconds then nothing....

I would suggest taking a look at the power module if that can be replaced. The Fuse blowing may have only been the beginning of the problem. Any recent issues with under or over voltage in your home?
