Whenever I play a game I get random lag spikes during gameplay, really irritating, how do we fix this issue? So many people have this problem and nobody has an answer.

Well, sounds like what you need is QoS (Quality of Service) on your router. It is a system that some routers have that will prioritize some traffic over others.
I have looked over the manual for your router and it does not seem to have that feature. The built in QoS of windows apparently does not work to well either.
Sorry, but it looks like you might have to try to get another router.

My download speed randomly spikes causing my internet to lag and giving me a few mbytes to use

well, First I have to ask what is your ISP and what is your internet speed supposed to be? If it is in fact 1.5 Mbps then you may need to upgrade your internet speed to say 5-10 Mbps.

Also, What applications are you running? Such as Internet Explorer or Firefox? Internet explorer can be nuisance. Things such as Anti Virus Software can hose up your internet speed if you have only 1.5Mbps as well. Hope this helps. If you have other questions don't hesitate.

Hi, my dwa 131 wireless usb adapter is having some problems, i seem to experience lag spikes when playing "Dota" online. anyadvise?

Make sure that your internet speed is fast so you wont get any lag while playing "DOTA". Another case is that you might be too far from your wireless router that's why you are experiencing lag spikes. Also try to reinstall the driver of your router if it's not the case. Are you experiencing this while only playing dota?

Dns error(80710102)

Hi

Error 80710102: Cannot connect to the internet.

This may be caused by inputting the incorrect information when setting up your internet connection. Alternatively or it may be down to internet lag due to congestion with your provider or a weak wireless connection.

It is advisable to go through and recheck your internet settings. See links on how to do this.

Re: Wireless problem

I do not know the brand and band of wireless router you have, but sometimes with wireless G routers, you may need to change the wireless channel you use. (wireless channel = frequency) If anyone in your area is using the same channel, you can get various communication issues (including lag spikes). Pull out the manual for your router and see if there is an option to change channel settings. This is a common problem when people in the same area buy the same routers and they are all set at the factory default of channel 6.

On-line Gaming problem

To be honest if it only llags when you are using the headset then it is probably the headset the there is nothing you can really do but the gaming routers that can be bought from most good game shops can boost the signal to give you less lag, but over all you would probably be better with and xbox 360 for online gameplay

Lag lag lag lag

Hi there,

Some ways to get rid of your lag is to change internet service providers. If you have a wireless adapter, you may also want to get a new router. If you also have an older router, you may need to change that even you don't use the wireless internet. And for the overheating 360, it should not get hot after that amount of time. Move away from your tv, put it on a flat hard surface.(Not Carpet!), and move it away from a wall that might be preventing it's ventilation.

Hope This Helps,
C13295 ;)

Sierra aircard 875u connect to Playstation 3

ok guys ive found the solution. i have a sprint usb aircard and had the same problem for like 6 months and just yesterday i found out how to make it work.

1) connect laptop/ CPU to internet as usual*
2)go to control panel
3) go to network and internet connections
4)go to network connections
5) next tight click on you internet provider thing. and go to properties.
6) click on advanced tab
7) then just follow the instruction to make it a shared connection and thats all to it.

fyi: its probably going to lag alot if your not in a good reception area. other than that the lag is bearable.

ps: if you need more help, or if you just want to say thank you email me at : [email protected]

Occasional reboots

i too have found this problem with the 2 wire 2700 and found that if the router tries to alter the connection speed and finds it cannot connect at the faster speeds it has to reset itself to revert back to a slower connection speed, so keep an eye on your connection speed which can be found in the routers settings on the initial page and check if the speed registered is faster than that of which your line can carry, if so then you need to contact your isp.
