This type of TV doesn't use coolant. I would suggest to clean the mirror that reflects the image from the optical engine to the screen before replacing the lamp.

hi, check the brightness setting on ur tv. if u have already checked it, then check ur tvs lamp. its time to replase the lamp. may be its reflector get damaged. thats why the brightness is low. ok
You will probably find, cahnging the lamp and resetting the timer will fix this problem. Contact Toshiba for more information if you need to. Toshiba.com
need to replsce the coolant in the CRTs ( picture tubes) very common problem with that model. You can get a kit caalled the Phillips CRT coolant change at the following link which contains the proper coolant along with an instruction CD which shows how to do the replacement .Its under the repair kit category. When you order the lamp assembly, it should come with complete instructions on how to replace it. Most have pictures as well. The part number is: AZ684020 and cost $437.74 from tritronicsinc.com. You may be able to find a generic replacement for less money.
