I have an EPC mini laptop and when I switch it on it freezes with the message Loading OS Image.

These are very simple netbooks with ARM processors.
It has no BIOS like PC.

Your system had the OS changed, because this it is not working.

I have the same issue, none of the above work. The notebook does not have a disc drive so your unable to boot the system using a CD.
I press f8 when the notebook is switched off and nothing happens.
How do I re-install the operating system?
Please help.

Method 1 : Switch on your Laptop by pressing "F8" key,Select "Last known good configuration that works",check if it able to get you to your Desktop.if yes, everything is OK.


Method 2 : Switch on your Laptop by pressing "F8" key,Select "Safe boot".check if it able to get you to your Desktop.if yes,then Click Start button, select "Run", type "msconfig", Click "Startup" and untick all the program that's starts during system startup.Reboot your system



Method 3 : Switch on your Laptop by pressing "F8" key,Select "Safe boot".check if it able to get you to your Desktop.if yes,then try to restore the system to some ealier restore point or days.
How to restore : Click "Start" button ------> All Programs----------> accessories--------->system tools------->System restore.
After Restoring, your system will automatically reboot and check if you can get your desktop normally.

Method 4 : If none of the above procedure works then download "Hiren;s Boot CD".

Burn the ISO images in a CD and boot the system using that CD by changing the boot priority in System BIOS. Set first boot device to that CD ROM.Hiren's Boot CD will load and select "Mini Windows XP".You can have access to many repairs tools,backup tools etc.Try tools which you think can fix the problem.

If the problem still persists, backup all your important data using that disk and consider re-installing the operating system.
