I have obtained the following information before, but do not remember how to get it. How do I get a listing (printout) of the Linksys WRT160N Router's "Network Security Settings" ?
This is a brief list composed of the following information.
Network Security Settings:
router username:
router password:
network name (SSID):
network security type:
network security key connection type:
Thank you

The router has a built-in web-server.
So, just connect your web-browser to that web-server,
select the correct page, and click PRINT.
Testimonial: "Need more info...Thank you."
On your computer:
Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD and press ENTER
Type IPCONFIG and press ENTER
Look for a line like:
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.123.1
Start Internet Explorer
Type http://192.168.123.1
to access the router's built-in web-server, and "browse" around to find the settings.

You will need to check the wireless settings of
the router.
If your network is secured then make sure that you
are typing the correct network key.
also make sure that the DHCP server is enabled on
the router.
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on
that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check
all the wireless settings of the router.

Hi:
Thank you for the information.
It is useful, but does not answwr my specific question, which may need to be restated to clarify, so here goes.
The Linksys WRT160N wireless router uses CISCO's Network Magic software to allow the user to monitor & maintain their connections. During setup, "somewhere" Network Magic stores the Network Security Settings and allows the user to print them out and save them to a file. The entire file printout is as follows (see below), along with specific settings for each parametr.
My questions is: How do I reproduce this exact printout with aall of its information? I did not have to "play around" inside of Linksys's 192.168.1.1 web page in order to make this printout - it was done from within Network Magic, and I haven't found all of these parameters in aa grouped list within 192.168.1.1.
Thank you (see list below)
Network Security Settings:
router username: admin
router password: ElasRouter
network name (SSID): ElasWirelessNet
network security type: Higher Security (WPA / WPA2)
network security key: FredDale
connection type: Keep Alive
if you have made any progress on this issue please post an update, i have *exactly* the same question and want to save *exactly* the same information, at some point i'll need to reset my router and try to reproduce the file...
