Usually the sansa clip will be locked or on hold, look at your sansa clip, on the left side there is a silver slide switch, switch it to the opposite way and then try to sync it with windows media player!

Cannot delete the songs on mp3

I do mine through Windows Media Player
1)Plug in Sansa
2)Open up Windows Media Player and wait for the Sansa e250 icon to show up under the library. First time, might say 'What device is this' or 'Autoplay'-for autoplay, you click 'sync media files to Sansa e250 using WIndows Media Player'
3)When library shows, click 'Sync' if it is not already there.
4)Just simply click and drag the songs you want from the computer library to the list pane on the side.
5)Once your done, click 'Sart sync'

TO DELETE
1)Plug in
2)Wait for the icon under Library in WIndows Media Player
3)Go to Songs under Sansa e250
4)Right click desired songs and choose Delete. You only want to delete from Sansa e250-nothing else

All my songs got deleted while i tried to add more

I've run across this as well and it's actually a setting in Windows Media Player. The only way I've found to correct it (since I couldn't find it in the advanced options) was to start Windows Media Player and go to the sync page. Then connect the player to the computer. When Media Player recognizes the device it will pop up a screen (make sure you're in the sync page first) that says Windows Media Player - Device Setup. There will be two options, 1 to leave existing files and sync to remaining space and 2 to delete files before sync. Choose the first option to leave existing files and then click next and then finish. You should be able to sync new songs to the player now without it deleting the existing songs that are already on there.

This question is listed under the wrong device, but:
Here's what happened: When you first synced your player to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option. When this option is selected, Windows Media Player will add EVERY song, picture, etc from your Library on your computer to the player. Now, every time you sync you device, it adds every new file from your computer into the player automatically. It will even delete songs from your player that were on there before.

Go into Windows Media Player 11 with your player connected to the computer (it will automatically sync and add new files one last time), move the mouse cursor over to the sync tab; a small black arrow will appear under the word "Sync"; click on the small black arrow and a dropdown menu will appear; select "Portable media device" from the dropdown menu, and another dropdown menu will appear; select "Set Up sync"; a window will appear with some information on your device - uncheck the box that says "Sync this device automatically"; click Finish; This will eliminate the problem of Windows always adding/deleting songs/files you don't want into your player.

How do i put pics on my 30GB gogear hdd6330

You will be able to transfer songs using Windows Media Player after this -

Turn off automatic synchronization first.
When you first synced your player to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option.

Then:
Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).
