Here is how mine works. You can pause the washer only up to a certain point. Real stupid in my opinion. After that you can't stop it unless you cancel the cycle. Then you have to start over again. Who thinks up this stuff? Now that you've gotten stuck I would unplug the unit wait a while, then plug back in and it may reset itself. Try to run another load. Good luck
I'm going back to a top loader and forget the "electronic" ****!!!

Keeps saying PAU

The PAU, or pause, error usually means that the washing machine cycle was interrupted and was not restarted properly. If you try to modify the cycle or start a new one before the first cycle is complete, the PAU error will appear on the display. If the washer was stopped midcycle and not restarted, the cycle must be canceled or completed before a new selection can be made. Push "Start/Pause" to allow the current cycle to finish before making a new selection, or push "Cancel" to stop the current cycle

My whirpool locked light keeps flashing and wont wash

Hi

The light is flashing due to the door lock error. The door lock is activated as the machine experienced an error or was stopped in middle of a cycle. Or the door was being pulled while the machine was running a cycle. Try unplugging your washer and restart the washer to check if you are still getting the same blinking light. If error is still not resolved then start the rinse/spin cycle & stop the cycle, now press and hold the cancel button for 5-10 seconds. However, if you are still not able to get the door open then you'll need to open the door manually by disassembling the washer.
Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

The water switch to the washer wasnt turn on due to no water going to the washer from the hose it was blinking red H symbol I tried to cancel load to restart and machine stays on and wont start new cycle...

Just unplug the washer and wait a couple of minutes before you plug it back in. That should clear the code and let you get the door open.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

WASHING MACHINE WON'T RESTART!!

try unpluggin unit for 10 or 15 minutes sometimes a computer will lock up. If this doesnt fix it there is a tech sheet located behind the lower removable panel (3 screws down on your knees and look up a little between the door panel and lower panel. Tech sheet can help you with minor problems but be careful parts are expensive and non-refunadable (electrical parts). always disconnect power before working on unit

Unable to cancel cycle and restart machine

Instead of hitting cancel twice, only press once,. You should hear the washer unlock. Then try to start again. If that doesn't work, try unplugging the washer in mid cycle. Are you getting and codes popping up?

This error code indicates that the door is not locking.
Is the washer door firmly shut?
The door must be completely closed for the washer to operate. The door may look as if it's closed, but it may not be latched. Open the door and firmly close it.
Were you washing a large load?
Before you close the washer door, check for laundry items sticking out beyond the door opening. Leave enough space in the washer to allow the clothes to freely tumble. Reduce your load size if needed.
fl_doorseal.jpg To remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice.

If Pause/Cancel does not work:
  1. Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
  2. Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
  3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service.

I need to cancel a washing cycle in the middle of the cycle.

usually pressing PAUSE/CANCEL twice cancels the cycle and shuts it off allowing you to then re-start the cycle. If not try unplugging it and see if it resets to allow you to start cycle again.

Blinking lights and failure to start

Suggestion: 1 Press and hold down 'spin' & 'dry' buttons to unlock controls. 2 Have u overloaded the machine with clothes? Reduce load. 3 Try 'spin' only after putting the clothes. Then put off machine & continue with main cycle. Three suggestions here........ What is the clothes capacity of the machine; try to limit within capacity. Try the "spin only" function aft putting the clothes. Then put the machine off & continue with the main cycle.
