Compaq presario v6719nr wont turn on it was working but I did a hard reset and now it will not power up battery had showen good charger only light to come on now it the connection to the ac power feed

Have you cleaned the Laptop thoroughly? Have you tried another Cord/Charger with the EXACT same power specs as the original? It may require opening the Laptop to examine/replace the Thermal Paste on the CPU and GPU? Have you done ANY updates recently? Graphics adapter? Have you tried a boot to safe mode, is it possible? Can you get to the BIOS setup? OR it may be a component on the Mobo, hard to say from here.

Remove the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord from your Compaq Presario F700 laptop, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current inside the Compaq Presario F700 . Remove the Battery and press power on for 1-2 minutes with out AC power .
Please turn on the laptop with only AC POWER (without battery ). Check it. it may turn on your laptop.

If display ok, then insert battery and use it...

The most likely problem is that the battery is dead or is in need of charge. If it won't take a charge then the charger is bad, or the battery is bad and is in need of replacement. The latter is the most likely cause. Get a high capacity battery for the computer off of amazon.com or ebay.com and you won't regret it.

Did ur laptop works or turn on when u plug the adaptor charger?
If ur laptop turns on when the charger is pluged in, u got problem with ur DYiNG BATTERY!
Better buy a brand new battery!

Power drain would be a better solution in this case.
1.first shut down the comp
2.unplug the charger
3. remove the battery
   and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery.After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer .

Try booting into the BIOS Screen and resetting to factory defaults. If that fails suggest swapping the hard drive out and re-install the Operating System - Save your old data and migrate the data off the old drive. You can buy an external drive adapter to connect the harddrive to a USB port to migrate you data.

Sounds like the battery is in trouble (discharged) or the charger is bad. If you have access to a voltmeter, read the voltage across the power cable plug with the pack plugged into the house outlet socket. Does a lamp work when plugged into the same socket? If the pack checks ok, then the battery may not be able to receive charge. Have it checked by a dealer.

no need to reset the unit if the no power check your charger firts if working or not, use tester if working,.. check the dc jact connector if ok no problem check th regulator some capactor or transestor, chips on board it means the problem is from the boar..
