I have an 3 lg u400 phone but with a payg sim card but on the phone it has a message saying inactive sim

mine done the same, i put the sim into my dads phone and it aksed for a puk code i got a puk code from orange customer services and unlocked the sim using my dads phone when i put it back into my viewty all was fine hope this helps

You need to go to a phone shop that stocks 3G sims. Get a $10 sim (a blank free one probably will not work). You didn't say whether you were on a pre-paid sim or a plan. Anyway call 3G and ask them activate it. Get the number off the sim before you ring them. They will need U to quote that. hope it helps :o)

hello there....well its quite simple...there is nothing wrong with your phone ...its your SIM... if it is asking for a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code...call your subscriber and ask them for PUK code,entering this code will reset your sim
if u keep entering wrong your sim will be damaged so call them
If the error message is saying sim damaged call them and ask for a "sim replacement" you will get a new sim while you will retain the same number ,however you will lose the phone numbers and other data stored in sim,this can be free but it depends on the company and how 'customer friendly they are

puk means personal unbloking key. take u r sim card out behind the sim card an no will be provided call network operator and tell this no and ask for puk no

either your phone is locked or your sim is faulty and no longer works...have u tried another sim in there to see?

inactive sim means the sim is disconnect or need to be activated so call your mobile service provider and have them assist you with the issue.

you gotta wait for your provider to activate it if nothing it 2 days call them with your dilemma
